His parents escaped from the Soviet Union thru Poland. He might have been a good Russian, but he never lived there. Ukraine was part of the Soviet Union back then. They left the country separately and reunited in the US.I don't remember that one. Funny as I think Nimoy was actually Russian. Maybe he should have played Illya Kuryachin?
