Toobin comes across as clueless in that debate. He's accusing Dershowitz of being a partisan...when in fact the real partisan in that discussion is him! Dershowitz has been consistent in his viewpoint on the issue...it hasn't changed because one party controlled the White House and another didn't. Could the same be said of Toobin's views? The man makes his living by being a mouthpiece for the liberal prospective on CNN! You can't get much more partisan if you tried!

Alan uses the "shoe on the other foot test" and I think it's one everyone should use. The Golden Rule, empathy for others, whatever the case may be. Most importantly, even if you hate someone, they deserve Due Process, and, fair and equal opportunity to a defense. You have to be blind to your own biases. Even the worst human deserves this.

Without this, there is no Western civilization as we see it today. We'd all be working in camps somewhere and given our rations for the day. Without an objective, honest, by-the-books assessment of power and law, you will quickly become Canada or the UK. You want to know why people are destroyed in these nations? I'm living proof of this, it's as diabolical as you could write it in a fiction novel. Worse, these nations are able to convince some of your leaders that "we are just like you". I hope you're waking up.

All that is worth living for depends on civil liberty. Capitalism goes hand in hand with it. It's why America creates while socialists steal.

It's a fair question in my eyes, it's designed to suggest bias. As if Hollywood actors and musicians aren't paid as they go on the campaign trail with politicians. They will tell you they are giving their endorsement. Not that it matters in 2020, it hurts those who try this, but, it's never questioned.

Paid or not paid, he is a lawyer and defends your Constitution. That should be the role of all lawyers.

In the video, he refuted that he's on Trump's actual team. Trump's team are the lawyers who will make Trump's case of innocence, and Dershowitz is not there to do that. He's making the the constitutional point that Trump should have never been impeached in the first place.

HIs best point was that the abuse of power could be applied to just about any past President, including DumBama. He stated that abuse of power was discussed when writing the article, but was dismissed for that reason.
