Sad... you see me that way because at 72 years I see more ways to teach people how to be independent yet people like you want to make more people W2T i.e. "womb2tomb" dependent.
For example if anyone wants to help me develop a business that will make over $30 million a year I'm open but it is hard to find people who as you described think the only way to security is via being a W2T person.
Actually the "myth" of greedy people like you described is again a product of MSM ignorance and bias.
Rather then recognize that teaching people how to be independent is better for society as a whole ignorant MSM continues
the myth about "single payer" about federal government being capable of handling all people's needs. Truly sad that people like
you want to make mindless slaves to the socialist state.
Was it four for the price of one on assumptions down at the supermarket today or what?
Firstly, this isn't about being independent or not.
You're telling me that only right wing teaches people to be independent. Rubbish. Good education, which is generally more supported by the left than the right, is education which teaches independence of mind.
I didn't say greedy people. I said people who no longer cared. People who had their position in life and didn't want to lose it. Doesn't mean they're greedy.
Also, I didn't say the govt was the only body capable of handling all of people's needs.
So "people like you" as you referred me to, isn't people like me at all. It's people you pretend I am because you're jumping all over assumptions like there's no tomorrow.
"Good education" like this:
Why Oklahoma Lawmakers Voted to Ban AP U.S. History
The conservative lawmakers' issues with the course, which was taken by 344,938 students in 2013, can be traced back to retired high-school history teacher Larry S. Krieger. Two years ago, the College Board released a revised framework for the exam, which took effect this fall. Krieger was incensed by the changes. "As I read through the document, I saw a consistently negative view of American history that highlights oppressors and exploiters," he said during a conference call in August, according toNewsweek.
Krieger complained that the framework portrays the Founding Fathers as "bigots" and suggests that Manifest Destiny was "built on a belief in white racial superiority and a sense of American cultural superiority," rather than "the belief that America had a mission to spread democracy and new technology across the continent," as he put it. And instead of discussing the "the valor or heroism of American soldiers" during World War II, the course outline mentions U.S. internment camps and moral questions raised by the dropping of the atomic bomb.
These included everything from more focus on minorities to a reference to President Reagan's "bellicose rhetoric." Their effort got a huge boost when the Republican National Committee adopted a resolution last August that said the framework "reflects a radically revisionist view of American history.
Why Oklahoma Lawmakers Want to Ban AP US History -- NYMag
This "good education" that teaches the valor of our prior generations was for bad purposes... our soldiers killed people needlessly, etc. all the things that make the USA look like the bad guys... that's a "good education"???
Frankly when people talk about "good education" I immediately think of this product of a "good education" who told us he had to fool us and trick us to get his way! I'm sure you are a FFO by your attitude and responses...
Obama told us in his book..."Dreams of My Father"
"It was usually an effective tactic, another one of those tricks I had learned.
People were satisfied so long as you were courteous and smiled and made no sudden moves.
They were more than satisfied.
They were revealed.
Such a pleasant surprise to find a well-mannered young black man who didn't seem angry all the time.”
No....
Good education isn't education which says "The US is amazing" or "The US is bad".
Good education is "these are the facts, what do you think?"
