Congratulations to the GOP

You just have to live here to understand.

Edwin went to Congress as a young man, and became known as the fastest zipper in DC.

Like a crazed banty rooster, in an amazing show of bipartisanship, he laid wives and staff on both sides of the aisle, earning the undying hate of a hard core group of cuckolded husbands and BFs in his wake, Hell bent to see him in jail.

He was hounded, and hounded and hounded, and finally jailed in a trial so full of paid government liars it is a disgrace.

He did his time, and people still love him for the things he did for us.

And he never lied and wagged his finger saying things like "I never had sexual relations with that women".

He was more like, "Hell yeah, I drilled her in the Senator's own personal office chair".

I saw he wins, and wish I had not changed my district.

Long Live The Governor

A lot can be said for Edwin Edwards ... Like I mentioned, he wasn't ashamed and isn't a liar.

.
He was too good and too loyal to some of his friends, who turned out to be paid informants.

So he was a crook.

Greg

Yes, he's a crook. The mindset has been that he's crooked for Louisiana and he will bend/break the rules and work the system for Louisiana. He was the first Gov I recall to not take a salary, so appeared to "donate" his time. He made a lot for himself, his family and his friends through corruption. For instance, he worked hard to bring riverboat gaming to LA. In the end, the riverboats all outfitted themselves to need this odd sort of tickertape for their slot machines, not the standard ones used in other casinos. Turns out Edwards' son is the only one who makes that particular size/standard.

He's not a horrible guy. He is very generous and loyal. I knew him, have been on two of his Vegas trips. He's just corrupt and an embarrassment.

No, he is not, and you are not middle America, AvgGuy, if you support the Canadian Cruz.

We did well in the Senate because there were no Angles, Millers, witches, etc., for a change.

I am so glad the mainstream leadership is in charge.

Conservative voters put them there and conservatives can taketh away. Those two morons in Kansas and Kentucky could not have won without conservatives holding their noses and voting in droves for the lessor evil.

You're so dishonest and uninformed, no one believes a dayyyum thing that comes out of your mouth. Show me one Republican on this entire board that does.

Now STFU, Fakey.

Oh, and I should add that every liberal Republican was forced to move to the right. Everyone moved to the right of their natural position. You're not fooling anyone, Jakey Fakey.

There is one devil of a problem the GOP has now. How can they change from obstructionist to a law making organization. I don't see it happening and 2016 is a very big problem where things may reverse across the board. The GOP has 2 years to get off their asses and get to work. If not, get ready for one hell of a rout.
GOP sent 300 bills to senate and passed a budget. Harry Reid did neither. We're not the obstructionist. Get new talking point. America rejected your ideology soundly.

Indeed.........this BS narrative is laughable.......that the GOP stalled the legislatiive process in the house. Hmmmm.....................then why didnt the electorate Ray Rice republicans and vote in all Dums Tuesday?:dunno::dunno:

Logic fAIL is gay.:fu:

And they wonder why they lost.

Wonder where my buddy, Clayton is. He must be nursing a week long headache. He was so sure the electorate LOVED the economy. LMAO.

Just saw that there will be over 100 women in the Congress for the first time ever. Good to see.

That is good to see, Candy. I think the gals tend to be less confrontational...which at the moment is what we need. Let's get this economy going again!

Stop re-enforcing gender stereotypes.

I know....looking at someone's performance instead of their genitals and skin color is something libs haven't figure out how to do yet. I could care less if someone's purple, green, martian, or even mentally challenged....if they can bring results to the people, they have my respect.

The new whites, women, Hispanics, and millennials, all from the center, elected the majority.

They are not Far Right and not particularly conservative. Attack the interests of those new voters, and we will lose in 2016.

No important numbers of moderate or liberal Pubs were forced to move to the right: you have no evidence of that. I am glad you admitted, finally, that there are many moderate and liberal Pubs. That's good.

Most Americans do not care about hard conservative or liberal ideologies.

They want government to work for them.

You're an idiot. Where did I say there weren't Republicans of all flavors?

You're hopeless.

The latest thing you've gotten wrong again??? Obama sending another 2000 troops to Iraq. And only an idiot would believe they'd have nothing to do with combat.

You trash talk continues, little one. Show me the combat units that are going to Iraq. Or are they going to Kuwait?

We're going to deStarkify the Republican Party.

Nah, we just brought in three million more like me with the new women, whites, Hispanics, and millennials.

The far right is out. Watch McConnell piss all over the far righties.

Like in 2010, this was a Conservative blow-out.

Losers like Steve Soros Schmidt think it was a loss for us. We don't need him around anymore. He can sit in the back of the bus with Obama and Rove

This was not a far right win this time, it was a win of a wide range of folks in various colors, both sexes, and ages.

Anyone who thinks this a TPM 2010 reoccurence is asking to get us beat in 2016 by the Dems.

"He's just corrupt and an embarrassment."

Oh: that all.

Greg

Yeah, that's plenty enough for me to never vote for him. He's corrupt! It is an embarrassment to have him on national news, IMO, no matter how charming he is. There are some people I just won't vote for, even if they have turned over a new leaf (which he hasn't). I won't vote for Edwards, Duke or Vitter. One of them could cure cancer, become a Mother Theresa, whatever, I'm still not voting for him.

What is it with DemoKKKrats and corrupt politicians?? If a pubby is corrupt then they're sent to Coventry. If a Dem is corrupt it's Bush's fault!! They're NUTS!!!

I reviewed 50 bills sent to the Senate. 47 looked like a Christmas Shopping List for Corporations with all the riders put on them. Now I see those same bills being reintroduced exactly as written and vetoed. The GOP has 2 years to get things fixed or in 2016, look for one hell of a rout along with another Dem for President. If they find a way to fix things then 2016 might be a golden year. Since it's pretty much the same people I don't see any drastic changes no matter what McConnel says.

The difference is Reid was able to bury the bills without and fanfare. Now the dems have to either filibuster them or Obama has to Veto them, which is FAR more public.

Seems like nothing much has changed except for the names on the letterhead....where is this barrage of bills?

They're quite likely to face an obstructionist President and his Democratic minions in Congress.

I wonder if the electorate will react the same as it did based on Republican obstructionism over the past six years?
