The 14th Amendment doesn't need to be rewritten: Counting the "whole number of persons" merely revoked the 3/5 counting of slaves in the Constitution.

Permanent (legal) residence of the parent should be the test for citizenship. That is why the children of foreign diplomats are not U.S. citizens.

Persons born in the United States are citizens of the United States, regardless the citizenship of their parents, regardless the immigration status of their parents – including parents who are undocumented.

No they are. Assault weapons are illegal in the US.

No they aren't, I could do the required paperwork, pay the fees and buy one legally. So they obviously aren't banned. Ownership is restricted to people who hold a class 3 license.
