climate science is not so much impervious to facts as it is unresponsive to questions and alternate explanations.

inconvenient evidence and paradoxes are ignored in the hope that the future will solve the problem before they have to admit they really had no idea what was going on. did you ever wonder why we were being told that the warming was 'accelerating' right up to the moment when the pause became statistically significant and the mantra became 'wait for the next El Nino'.

I have read lots of articles, journal papers and headlines about Sea Level Rise. you can get 'proof' of minimal rise all the way out to calamitous rise. I did not realise that there is a huge gap in understanding even the SLR of the 20th century. a known paradox. the latest warmist paper has reduced the pre 1990 SLR to something like 1.2mm/yr +/- 0.2mm with most of the increase after 1990. their 'reanalyzed data' says so. they are certain of it. I havent read the paper (paywalled) but I am curious as to how they graft on their study to other studies and the thousands of data points that have been collected over hundreds of years. we are now being told that the actual beach measurements dont really matter, its what is happening out in the middle of the oceans or how the sea bed changes. but they seem pretty happy to predict everything is going to flood.
