City failed to fix bridge where man's daughter died,he tries to fix himself, gets arrested

Talk to the Republicans about it. They're the ones refusing to vote for repair and maintenance of our infrastructure.

I feel for the guy.

But allowing someone to rig up an unofficial structure on government property...makes for a MASSIVE lawsuit liability. They cant do that.

Now...is the government inefficient and slow? Yes. Its why we dont want big government.

Wonder what really caused the wreck...since it seems thousands of others drive the bridge just fine.

His kid was a passenger they said he lost control in a curve aka driving to damn fast.

Yeah. Not to be insensitive. But it was driver error...not poor bridge design...that caused the tragedy.

Oh the father says it was the drivers fault but he is saying the bridge area has no barriers like the rest of it does and that's why the car flipped into the creek and they drowned.

It's impossible to guard against every act of public stupidity.

I recall an incident in which a girl intended to go early morning bike riding at the beach. Commonly done but this was dense fog. A cop stopped as she was unloading her bike and warned her of the danger. She asserted her rights. Not five minutes later a car hit her and sent her into a retaining wall. She hit her head and died. Her family sued claiming that the cop stopped but didn't confiscate the bike. He only gave a warning. It was his fault. No. It wasn't.

These officers are just "doing their job" mindlessly arresting people and the person who made that call for arresting this man, becomes characterizes as the nether end of a donkey.
