Can 500 law professors be wrong?

No one needs to wonder why you support Kavanaugh, you and he are haters. Do I need to tell you that hate, especially pathological hate of those who you do not and cannot know, is particularly not healthy.
The only thing I care about is getting a justice who interprets the constitution as it was intended, thus preserving it as written, and allowing the amendment process to work as intended.

I don't care who that person is. If he/she can put emotions or outcomes aside, and ONLY interpret the constitution as written, that person is qualified.

I don't have to hate anyone to want proper judicial conduct.

:dunno:

Two interesting observations of the signatures. First, they are not all law professors, or even professors. Second, most of the signatures are of women.

More Than 500 Law Professors Condemn Kavanaugh For ‘Lack Of Judicial Temperament’

Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh speaks at a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on Thursday.

More than 500 law professors from nearly 100 law schools around the nation have signed a letter to the U.S. Senate to say that the volatile temperament Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh displayed on Thursday as he testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee disqualifies him from sitting on the nation’s highest court.

“We regret that we feel compelled to write to you to provide our views that at the Senate hearings on Thursday, September 27, 2018, the Honorable Brett Kavanaugh displayed a lack of judicial temperament that would be disqualifying for any court, and certainly for elevation to the highest court of this land,” the letter says.

The letter is signed by many high-profile law professors, including eight from Yale Law School, where Kavanaugh obtained his law degree. The letter remains open for additional signatures through Thursday, when it will be presented to the Senate.

The legal experts fault Kavanaugh for failing to remain open to the necessary search for truth after being accused of sexually assaulting a girl when he was a teen and instead becoming “repeatedly aggressive with questioners.” The signees also criticize the judge for indicating that he believes allegations made by professor Christine Blasey Ford and other women are “a calculated and orchestrated political hit” by members of the Democratic Party rather than acknowledging that the Senate must try to understand and investigate the facts surrounding the allegations.

“Instead of trying to sort out with reason and care the allegations that were raised, Judge Kavanaugh responded in an intemperate, inflammatory, and partial manner, as he interrupted and, at times, was discourteous to questioners,” the letter reads. The law professors cite two statutes, governing bias and recusal, that require a judge to step aside if he or she is at risk of being perceived as being unfair.

Well let's see, about 99.999999999999999% of all lawyers are dims.

Money From Trial Lawyers Flowing To Democrats

In fact, they are a HUGE lobby group for the DNC, so no, your post is crap.

And given that lawyers run the country and have run up a $20 trillion plus in debt, they should all be in jail.

But alas, that takes a lawyer.

Also, the law profession is the most racist and least diversified.

Law is the least diverse profession in the nation. And lawyers aren't doing enough to change that.

So why should anyone care what a group of racist partisan hacks have to say?

Five hundred liberal law professor don't think BK should be on the SC??

I'm sure BK will give their opinions all the consideration that are due.

NONE
can't stop anyone for believing in and giving protection to scum like Kavanaugh It's in republican genes

Show how Brett Kavanaugh is scum, there is no evidence that this man has not conducted his adult life in a decent way. Scum is Dianne Feinstein, scum is Debra Katz, scum is Andrew Bromwich, scum is Christine Ford, scum is the MSM human filth.
if you added trumps name I'd give you thank you

This situation if not stopped is going to set a very dangerous precedent that destroys Centuries of established legality which has always been that ANYONE is INNOCENT until proven GUILTY, this now would put that down the toilet and turn it to ANYONE is GUILTY until they prove they are INNOCENT, that ANYONE can be accused of ANYTHING with no evidence but they are given Trial By Partisan Media and then IF they defend themselves they are considered some type of psychopath and then their life is DESTROYED.
Even if he's found not guilty his crazed responses show he's far from fit for the SC

His crazed responses as you term them, the man was DEFENDING himself against the heinous accusations that he's a gang rapist and a paedophile, what you on the Unhinged Left want is the type of "justice" they had in the Soviet Union that anyone who didn't go along with the Communist Agenda was denounced publicly and then some charge was thrown at them and then they were presumed guilty and had to prove their innocence which was an impossiblity so the goal posts where then moved and they ended up being dragged off to the Gulag.

This just illustrates that the Unhinged Left or as you prefer to term yourselves Progressives are actually Communists of The Old Style.

Translation: We are a group of jackass party of slavery supporters (The US Democratic party) who all suffer from a serious mental condition known as Trump Derangement Syndrome. According to our therapists, if Kavanaugh is confirmed, our already mentally debilitating condition may worsen, causing our collective heads to explode.

Tough shit.

The lies against Kav have had no effect. The gentleman will be a Supreme Court justice by the end of the week, and even ultra moderate GOP senators like Corker agree.

But this was an interesting experience. The Kavanaugh confirmation is a church picnic compared to what we will see when Ginsberg croaks and the Trumpster fills that seat with a conservative firebrand.

Brett Kavanaugh's young daughters have had to go through the psychological TORMENT of sitting there and having their father accused of being a gang rapist and a paedophile, the Unhinged Left are Demons in human form.

SO WHY TF did he drag them in ,,to see senators kiss his ass?

If you were accused of being a gang rapist and a paedophile wouldn't you get ANGRY? If not then you are not normal, 99.9% of ANYONE who was accused of being a gang rapist and a paedophile would ERUPT EXACTLY like Brett Kavanaugh did, he had a normal human reaction to the most heinous and vicious accusations that you can accuse anyone of.

He's unfit! One need not be a law professor to have seen his practiced performance, it was unbecoming of a judge, and indecorous. His body language alone raised suspicion that he was not honest, he did not respond to questions asked, and used practiced answer over and over in avoiding them; his anger and the bias he expressed is sufficient alone to vote him down.

At least he wont fall asleep in the middle of issuing a judgment.

How can you be sure, he said he never had a black out, only that he fell asleep after drinking beer.

BTW, that is tantamount to saying, "I never had sex with that women"; a lie by omission which led to the impeachment of President Clinton.

Face the facts, hypocrisy is dishonest and dishonesty began with McConnell's nonfeasance (can't vet a nominee during and election year and 14 months later did just that).

Why can't Trump supporters and Republican fellow travelers ever speak or post truth, when their lies and efforts to mislead the readers are so obvious.

The question is republican sheep ,,how many job interviews could you go on and act that way and still get the job???
how many job interviewers go back 36 years into childhood to vet a applicant?
Well, he did throw ice in a bar once, there's that.
He is not fit as a human being to serve as a justice because of that ice thingy.

Don't lie, there is no evidence any thought went into your post.
What do you mean "lie"? What am I lying about?

It's not hard to get a nominee so pissed that he lashes out. If that's the standard we are going with, Republicans have a good shot at keeping the "living document" type, "it's alive" justices off the bench.

BTW, why wasn't Corey Bookers groping incident public for his election? isn't that his job interview? Are we saying that the FBI should vet every person running for office? I mean, it is a job interview, and I got tons of questions to ask these punks.

Why does Judge Kavanaugh's actions on the witness stand at his trial have anything to do with his judicial temperament when he is sitting in judgment?

There is no constitutional requirement for a confirmation hearing.

Had Hillary Clinton won in 2016, the Senate may well have moved straight to the floor with the Garland nomination, or only had a perfunctory hearing which would not have even looked at Garland's teenage parties.
