bripat9643: Dumbest liberal statements in USMB "Demand creates jobs"

I never said there wasn't a demand, did I. I will, however, point out, again, that the OP is wrong, demand is not the reason jobs exist.

The want for profit...is why jobs exist.

1de·mand noun \di-ˈmand, -ˈmänd, dē-\

: a strong need for something (like profit)

: the ability and need or desire to buy goods and services

Demand - Definition and More from the Free Merriam-Webster Dictionary

Definition: Demand is the want or desire to possess a good or service with the necessary goods, services, or financial instruments necessary to make a legal transaction for those goods or services.

Demand Definition - Economics Glossary

The amount of a particular economic good or service that a consumer or group of consumers will want to purchase at a given price.

Along with supply, demand is one of the two key determinants of the market price.

What is Demand? definition and meaning

So you've determined that demand is one of the two key determinants of market price, Deanie...how does THAT prove your contention that it is demand that always comes before jobs are created and not anticipation of profit? LOL you are sad...really...

Liberals believe that unemployment and food stamps stimulate the Democrat economy. So, technically, lowering unemployment is a bad sign.

I am pretty much in the middle but lean to the lft and I dont think for a second that food stamps and unemployment or ANY gov hand out to individualls creates jobs or is good in any way except that they can feed their children so that one day they can grow up and be under paid and treated like shit in the US workforce until their job is exported to some third world country and then they have to draw a gov handout..

Man, you never got the memo about run-on sentences in English class...did you?

It's pretty clear he never attended any English classes.

Market price? For goods that have been created? Because of demand?

How do you answer the questions?

Once again, Deanie...if "demand" always comes before job creation...explain how it's possible products or services that aren't successful because of a lack of demand are still being created? That's something that happens every day throughout the world. Explain how new innovations that nobody has ever thought of before come along...are produced and then become wildly successful? There was no demand for those new innovations until AFTER they were created...so obviously jobs came BEFORE demand existed! How can that be?

The obvious answer is that anticipation of profit in both the case of unsuccessful products and services that turn out to have no demand and successful ones that had no demand when they were thought up is what prompted investment of capital and the creation of jobs. Supply and demand sets market prices long AFTER someone with capital has taken the risk of investment.

Please...let me ask you all...do you really believe that obama caused this increase?
Really?

Define "caused."

Obama entered office in the midst of a recession. The policies put in place by Obama dramatically increased the severity and duration of that recession, particularly in regard to employment. Obama's first couple of years were some of the worst years for jobs in history. The Obama response was aggressive increases in social welfare, to the point that literally half of the nation is now collecting entitlements from government.

I did not vote for him in either election but isnt blaming one person letting all of them off scott free?

If that one person happens to be the gun in charge?

Obama is incompetent, and his incompetence is undercutting the fabric of our economy. You of the left love to howl about the income gap, so explain why it is wider under Obama than any time in American history, AND why the gap is growing at a faster rate under Obama? Do the fascist policies of ACA - the merging of the federal government with well connected corporations such as Blue Cross (George Soros) and Kaiser (Andrew Grove) help the middle, or is it looting of the wealth of the nation by cronies of the corrupt democrats?

Lol. It was and is the right that moved all of their jobs to other countries and left this country to suffer.

Oh yes, villains in a basement, drawn by Seth McFarland, of course, plotted how to take jobs from poor widows..

ROFL

You are why I point out that leftism is the result of ignorance. You live in a cartoon world with zero grasp of reality.

Look what off shoring has done. Thank you polititians and the right. Now go complain about the amount of taxes you pay.

Leftism is simply a manifestation of the inability to grasp rational facts.

Here are a couple of items that you cannot process in your cartoon world, off-shoring to China occurred mostly under the Clinton administration. Was Bill Clinton a Republican, sparky?

Starting under Bush, and continuing now, a trend known as "re-shoring" began. Manufacturing is returning to the USA, rapidly. What is not returning, and will not return, is the days where an uneducated button pusher can stand in front of a press for 8 hours a day and make a hundred grand a year.

You are a leftist, rational thought is not in your wheel house, but for those with a mind, the REAL threat to low end workers is from automation. The over-paid button pusher was replaced by a low wage Chinese peasant in the 90's - now the low wage Chinese peasant has been replaced with a robot.

No it wasn't and you can't prove it because it's not true. Millions of jobs were moved from 2001 to 2008 with more than 40,000 factories closing. The Chinese funded US Chamber of Commerce, working with the Chinese and the Republicans gave seminars all across the US teaching business how to move companies to China.

U.S. Chamber Of Commerce Chief Endorses Offshoring - InformationWeek

President Bush has largely avoided the touchy subject in public appearances. Some of his economic advisers have said that exporting labor to low-cost countries will reduce business costs, boost corporations' financial performance, and thereby improve the U.S. economy.

examples?

Examples of products that were made and didn't sell (yet still created jobs even though there wasn't demand)? The Zune? Ben Gay aspirin? New Coke? The Edsel? The list is practically endless.

Do you really not know this stuff, Deanie? How can you be this uneducated? Do you not read newspapers? Not get out in the big wide world? What the heck is it that you do EXCEPT troll liberal websites like Think Progress and HuffPo?

I noticed that you cherry picked a quote from that article that you thought reflected badly on George W. Bush while ignoring one that showed John Kerry's views on outsourcing.

"Democratic candidate John Kerry said last week in San Jose that "America can't put walls around itself" or reject the realities of the global economy. He has proposed tax reforms that would erase some financial incentives for companies to export high-paying jobs."

Gee, Deanie...your liberal candidate understood the realities of the global economy and that it's almost impossible to imprison jobs to keep them from leaving yet you're here blaming job outsourcing on Republicans? Good to see you're as politically MYOPIC as ever!:udaman::udaman::udaman::udaman:
