On Saturday, U.S. District Judge from the Southern District of Florida Judge Aileen M. Cannon said the decision was made based on submissions from the former president’s attorneys and “the exceptional circumstances presented,” Fox News reported.

A hearing is set for Sept. 1 at 1:00 p.m. in West Palm Beach, Fla. Cannon also ordered the Justice Department to file a response by Aug. 30 and provide, “under seal,” a “more detailed Receipt for Property specifying all property seized pursuant to the search warrant executed on August 8, 2022.”

Nothing wrong with that, doubt it will change anything but it will quash the arguement that any personal or attorney client privilege material is retained. Perfectly appropriate.

The warrant was such a broadly unconstitutional fishing expedition license, that any evidence seized in connection with it is already tainted, and inadmissible. If there was ever any case to be brought against Donald Trump, then with this stunt, they totally destroyed any such case. The fruit of the poisonous tree in this case, is a field full of noxious weeds, with roots and seeds everywhere, poisoning everything that it comes anywhere near. They won't be able to prove that any evidence against Trump, obtained in any manner, isn't tainted. They could find a gun with Trump's fingerprints all over it, that ballistically matches to dozens of unsolved murders, and they wouldn't be able to use it against him.

Planted or not, nothing seized in connection with this illegal raid, nor connectable in any way to it, is admissible in court.

I think they knew this going in, that they were never going to be able to build a viable legal case against Trump. If that was their expectation and intent, they would have been much more careful and diligent about getting a legitimate warrant, based on genuine probable cause, and making sure that it was carried out in a strictly legal manner.

I think their only intent and expectation was to try to find something with which to embarrass and discredit Trump in the public eye; and so far, it has backfired very badly against them.
