Why do you think we have local and state officials more concerned with the welfare of Illegal aliens despite the tsunami of homeless and jobless Americans? I have seen the surge in American homeless, and jobless. Here in Denver, 25 years ago, not an issue. Now we have fellow Americans living in tents along busy streets, or along the local river along the bike paths. This is NEW, unprecedented. But, at the same time our local leaders see fit (without any vote of any kind) to give "sanctuary" to illegal aliens as a act of humanitarianism , to poor Mexican illegals. And then give them also arbitrarily rights to operate vehicles (we never got to vote on that), simultaneously passed motor voter bill giving anyone with a driver license a right to vote in the state...Funny how that works. Sorry, but our economy would barely measure a blip if they all left tomorrow.
The savings our state and local governments would see would swamp any tiny reduction
