This year marks the 50th anniversary of President Lyndon B. Johnson's launch of the War on Poverty. In January 1964, Johnson declared "unconditional war on poverty in America." Since then, the taxpayers have spent $22 trillion on Johnson's war. Adjusted for inflation, that's three times the cost of all military wars since the American Revolution.

It comes out to less than 400 billion a year on ALL social programs, including programs that benefit the white middle class... so that's a dishonest statistic.

The Center for American Progress’s article “A Quality Approach to School Funding” discusses research that found reforms to school financing that were focused on allocating more money to low-income schools managed to reduce achievement gaps by 20 percent on average. On the other hand, cuts to school budgets tend to have a deleterious effect on student achievement. A study by the American Educational Research Association found that counties who made significant cuts to their school funding after the Great Recession saw steep declines in student achievement, most notably among economically disadvantaged students.

I used to post a website which unfortunately no longer exists. It demonstrated that the Washington, DC public school system spends more on each student than the public schools of every states. The student body in DC public schools has the highest percentage of blacks, and gets the lowest test scores.

Progressives want us to spend yet more money on public schools, but they do not explain what the additional funds will achieve. They dislike objective tests because blacks tend to perform poorly on them.

Actually, I dislike tests because teachers, being lazy fucks that they are, end up teaching to the test.

I admire Jews, respect Judaism, and love Israel. The only Palestinians I care about are the Christian Palestinians. I think the rest should have been expelled right after Israel's victory in the Sic Day War. All the land Israel conquered should have been formally annexed and settled with Jews.

I do not care about what international law says about that. Where was international law when Egypt and Syria threatened to destroy Israel and kill all the Jews there? The so called UN "Peacekeeping Force" fled in terror, leaving things up to the Israeli Defense Force, which won a wonderful victory.
