This is definitely not good news for Obama. Here we have black newspaper publishers agreeing to place a advertisement in thinking that Obama is foreign born and that it's ok because he would still be eligible to be president because he was born to a mother who was a U.S. citizen at the time. In fact the advertisement is misleading and doesn't explain in greater detail that it would be impossible for Obama to be eligible if foreign born. First of all, Title 8, section 1401 does not contain the term, “Natural Born” so that is not true. Sec 1401 defines just citizens and naturals.

Here is the true text of the law:

Birth Abroad to One Citizen and One Alien Parent in Wedlock:

A child born abroad to one U.S. citizen parent and one alien parent acquires U.S. citizenship at birth under Section 301(g) INA provided the citizen parent was physically present in the U.S. for the time period required by the law applicable at the time of the child's birth. (For birth on or after November 14, 1986, a period of five years physical presence, two after the age of fourteen is required. For birth between December 24, 1952 and November 13, 1986, a period of ten years, five after the age of fourteen are required for physical presence in the U.S. to transmit U.S. citizenship to the child. (Obama doesn't pass the test)

ALSO:

TITLE 8 > CHAPTER 12 > SUBCHAPTER III > Part I > § 1401
http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/8/usc_sup_01_8_10_12_20_III.html
§ 1401. ALIENS AND NATIONALITY.

The following shall be nationals and citizens of the United States at birth

(d) a person born outside of the United States and its outlying possessions of parents one of whom is a citizen of the United States who has been physically present in the United States or one of its outlying possessions for a continuous period of one year prior to the birth of such person, and the other of whom is a national, but not a citizen of the United States. (Obama doesn't pass the test)

(g) a person born outside the geographical limits of the United States and its outlying possessions of parents one of whom is an alien, and the other a citizen of the United States who, prior to the birth of such person, was physically present in the United States or its outlying possessions for a period or periods totaling not less than five years, at least two of which were after attaining the age of fourteen years: Provided, That any periods of honorable service in the Armed Forces of the United States, or periods of employment with the United States Government or with an international organization as that term is defined in section 288 of title 22 by such citizen parent, or any periods during which such citizen parent is physically present abroad as the dependent unmarried son or daughter and a member of the household of a person. (Obama doesn't pass the test)

Stanley Ann was only 18 years old at Barry’s birth so by the ad’s definition he would not even have been a citizen AT ALL, let alone a natural born one because she was to young to pass citizenship. I just find it interesting that these newspapers are now changing the words of the Constitution. This is astonishing that now blacks are going to run this in newspapers all across the nation.

The National Newspaper Publishers Association is affiliated with the hundreds of newspapers across the country that cater to the black community or, in the words of the NNPA, “The Black Press of America”. The Northeast Publishers Association is a smaller association that best characterized as the trade association for black newspapers in the Northeast.

The NPA has prepared the advertisement below to go in black newspapers across the country. Walter Smith, a director of the NNPA, blasted out the advertisement to many on their email list with a note saying, in part, “We can educate our readership by either running this ad or making a similar statement in our newspapers.”

The advertisement embraces the idea that Barack Obama was not born in the United States — a position rejected by most Americans. It’s bad for Barack Obama when even the black newspaper publishers of America think he is foreign born.

Isn't this really just poo-pooing the idea that it matters?

Sounds like they are just setting the groundwork for those who don't care that he may have lied about it.

When you have to bump your own post, maybe that's a clue that no one gives a shit about the crap you post.
