Hailing from the great nation of Uganda, Kamala is probably one of the greatest athletes in wrestling history. 380 pounds with an appetite for mayhem, a tremendous competitor and a credit to his race.

And here we begin the annual celebration of white racist ignorance.

MLK day, a month (the shortest month to be sure though 2024 has an extra day), MLB with Jackie Robinson day every year, the idiotic Juneteenth.

Shut up and honor great Americans boy. And the end of slavery should be celebrated.

LOL

Slavery didn't end on 'Juneteenth'. It ended when the 13th Amendment was proclaimed as ratified in December 1865. See, that's REAL history, not some made up crap.

James Arthur Harris (May 28, 1950 – August 9, 2020), better known by his ring name Kamala, was an American professional wrestler. Nicknamed "The Ugandan Giant", Kamala portrayed a fearsome and simpleminded Ugandan. He wrestled barefoot, clad only in a loincloth, his face painted with war paint and two stars and a moon painted on his torso. During his ring entrance, he sported an African mask and wielded a spear and shield. He is best known for his appearances with the World Wrestling Federation (now WWE) over the course of numerous runs in the company between 1984 and 1993.

Harris was born on May 28, 1950, in Senatobia, Mississippi....

Like I said, "And here we begin the annual celebration of white racist ignorance."

Independence was proclaimed on July 4, 1776.

Slavery ended when the 13th Amendment was proclaimed as ratified in December 1865 (slavery still existed in some places after this 'Juneteenth' nonsense).

Actually, it belongs in "Sports" because the Ugandan's great contributions in the ring

Real history. Not some 'Juneteenth' nonsense.

Yet Delaware and Kentucky rejected all efforts by the Union to end slavery, and these two border states firmly rejected the 13th Amendment.

As a result, slavery remained perfectly legal in both states for another six months after Juneteenth, until the secretary of state certified that the 13th Amendment had been ratified by enough states to become law throughout the U.S.

Black History Month, Roosevelt Franklin.

“In 1970, alongside Cookie Monster and Big Bird, a new Muppet appeared on “Sesame Street.”Roosevelt Franklin was a young boy with a shock of black hair atop his head, dressed in a striped turtleneck — and although he was technically purple in color, he was explicitly created to be black.

Nearly from his first appearance, Roosevelt Franklin exploded in popularity on a level similar to his felt cousin Elmo in the 1990s. He earned his own segment and even released a popular album.

And then his appearances slowly diminished, until by 1975, he had all but disappeared…..……

……..not everyone was on board with Franklin. Even before his first appearance, a debate raged behind the scenes at “Sesame Street” about whether he was a good role model.”

Black History Month, 2 Live Crew.

“The year 1989 marked a time of massive upheaval: The Berlin Wall came down and and a Chinese protester was mowed down by a tank during the Tiananmen Square protests. The seeds for the World Wide Web were planted and the Exxon Valdez oil spill dumped nearly 250,000 gallons of crude into Alaska’s Prince William Sound. George H.W. Bush was sworn in as president and the Dalai Lama won the Nobel Peace Prize.

Or, if you were a fan of booty-shaking videos and speaker-rumbling Miami bass hip-hop, the top headline was 2 Live Crew releasing “Me So Horny.”

Black History Month, Ron Karenga.

The Watts riots broke out when Karenga was a year into his doctoral studies. The Black Congress ("BC") was formed as a community-rebuilding organization in the aftermath. Within the BC, a discussion group centered on black nationalist ideas, called the Circle of Seven, was formed, which included Hakim Jamal (a cousin of Malcolm X) and Karenga. The group published US Magazine (meaning "Us black people") and in 1966 formed an organization called US.[13] ……

…..During the late 1960s, US Organization became bitter rivals with the Black Panther Party over their differing views on Black nationalism. The Federal Bureau of Investigation intensified this antipathy as part of its COINTELPRO operations, sending forged letters to each group which purported to be from the other group, so that each would believe that the other was publicly humiliating them.[17] The rivalry came to a climax during 1969, with a series of armed confrontations and retaliatory shootings that left four Panthers dead……..

……..Karenga created Kwanzaa in 1966[19] to be the first pan-African holiday. Karenga said his goal was to "give Blacks an alternative to the existing holiday and give Blacks an opportunity to celebrate themselves and their history, rather than simply imitate the practice of the dominant society."[20]……

………In 1971, Karenga was sentenced to one to ten years in prison on counts of felony assault and false imprisonment.[22] A May 14, 1971, article in the Los Angeles Times described the testimony of one of the women: Deborah Jones, who once was given the Swahili title of an African queen, said she and Gail Davis were whipped with an electrical cord and beaten with a karate baton after being ordered to remove their clothes. She testified that a hot soldering iron was placed in Miss Davis' mouth and placed against Miss Davis' face and that one of her own big toes was tightened in a vise. Karenga, head of US, also put detergent and running hoses in their mouths, she said. They also were hit on the heads with toasters.[23]

“James McMillan III (born December 1, 1946)[1] is an American political activist and Vietnam War veteran. He was a perennial candidate in New York City.

McMillan is best known as the founder of the Rent Is Too Damn High Party, a New York–based political party. McMillan ran for office at least six times since 1993, most notably in the 2010 New York gubernatorial election.[2][3] He declared in December 2010 that he would run in the 2012 U.S. presidential election as a Republican. He did not appear on the ballot in any state and suspended his campaign to return to the Rent Is Too Damn High Party and run for Mayor of New York City in the 2013 election. He attempted to run for governor again in the 2014 election but did not make the ballot.”
