I have a degree in history. Your assertion that Britain sent its worst criminals to America is simply not true. There were about 60,000 after 1718 and they were petty criminals that served as indentured servants. That's not exactly the worst, now is it? About 90 percent of them stayed in Maryland and Virginia.
