I just started this year. I make plenty of mistakes down about 60% overall. If it is all fixed? I could roll random numbers. EVEN for home and ODD for road. got a chance to end up 50%?

There are two sides. Bets can be placed either way. I suppose someone could fix something if you knew VEGAS had 90% of the money bet on one side? But VEGAS adjusts payouts to try to get 50% on each side. Problem is, If any game is on I want to try to bet it. especially if I see what I think is good payback for the risk.


I lost a bunch on College football ouch! Won only 3 of 16 bets last SAT.

Did pretty good on NFL (this is what I opened the account for). Made some mistakes on NFL accepting buyout too early (when I had it right!). KC (NFL)_ downed the ball in the last 30sec twice when they could have ran it in (cost me a huge 14:1 parlay).

I got killed on MLB when MIL, MINN, BALT, HOU could not score just 1 more run despite bases loaded no outs many time! I was really on the edge of seat over those losses.

I may have to stop...........as I am such a loser. ARG!

I don’t think that the major sports organizations in North America are fixed. Professional athletes in North America make a lot more money these days compared to the days of the black Sox scandal.

That’s not to say that there could be individual rare cases of a referee, throwing the game we had that in the NBA when one of the referees was working with the mafia back in the 2000s I believe . He was of course Caught and served jail time. Could it be occurring today on rare occurrence????, I suppose so. But it’s certainly must be an extraordinary exception to the rule.

I don’t think it compares to the corruption we have an Wall Street, that we’ve had in Wall Street, or the business world for years on end.


That early payout possibility you see which is offered on DraftKings or FanDuel is something to look at. Of course as you know, I’m talking about the option People have to cash out there bet as the game is occurring …it Represents a very interesting argument where both sides could be right.

Now I believe that that cash out option is there for a reason and it benefits the sports books more than it benefits the customer. It’s only a theory though I could be wrong.

I play poker at casinos and also some home games over the years

Back in 2008 I won about 17,000 in a poker stars online tournament. But overtime I probably lost a few thousand online. Back in 2008 I was very young and lost those tourney winnings in three months. I’ve gotten a lot more responsible since then. I haven’t played online poker in a few years and I don’t think I’ll go back.

There are many problems with online poker today. Some people are actually able to use programs that tell them what the best option to do with a certain hand

They simply plug their hand into an engine along with what the blinds are, and how many people are at the table and it shows them what the best possible option could be. It’s called a “solver.”

And a whole Nother ball game, which is even worse there have been cases where players have been able to see the whole cards of their opponents on certain Poker sites.

Now these are mostly unregulated site. I’m talking about like Americas cardroom. But the websites that are regulated that are legal in a few states here in America I believe the World Series of poker has some. They might be safe to PlayOn to some extent because they are regulated. But again people could be using solvers.

Oh I get it. you say put a bet on AZ or PHI to lose to TX at 6.5:1 or 20:1. then you break even or win $65 no matter who goes on (IF they lose to TX). got it.

But HOU is not dead. And you have the risk of AZ or PHI beating TX. ARG!

That is an interesting point. Sportswriters make a lot less money compared to the athletes themselves.

MVP votes could be for sale. But I think it would be quite rare

Always be sure to look at your account every day before you bet. I’ve been able to recently deposit $100 and get a 25% bonus on FanDuel. I could then cash out the $100 and just use a $25 bonus bet….but I only have until October 23 to use the bonus so yes as you point out you have to look at the fine print

I think profit boosts are most appropriate for future betting. You can take a team at 10 to one and then all the sudden they’re either 15 to 1 or 20-1 one depending on the boost. The downside is the profit boosts bets are usually capped at 25 or $50.

Yes, definitely chasing is usually not a good idea

Maybe just limit your bets . But it sounds like you’re responsible, so not much to worry about.
