All of this "commentary" from know-nothing rightist clowns is hilarious. He's a "sell out," he's a "tool for the 1%," etc is silly. Bernie hasn't altered anything he believes in. His beliefs remain the same. He also has always been very cordial with Hillary, so this nonsense about him being some sort of a rabid anti-Hillary person is totally baseless.
As a Bernie supporter, to me it just seems like he's being pragmatic. He isn't stupid, he knows what's happened, he's aware of everything, and he accepts how things have gone. He ran a fan-fucking-tastic campaign and was able to accomplish something totally incredible, and he's proud of that, as he should be.
He simply realizes it's going to come down to Trump vs. Hillary, and he's encouraging his supporters to realize the same thing, to stop being so idealistic, and realize the level of importance of this election. Some of his supporters really were acting like children tonight. These people need to grow up and get a grip.
But his campaign really shows how people will follow people with great passion and enthusiasm when you are open and clear about what you believe in. One of Hillary's biggest issues is that so many people are still unclear about her beliefs, which forces people to "fill in the gaps" in their own mind about what exactly she stands for. It is quite hard to really get behind someone who is so unclear and inconsistent about what they say. It was so easy to get behind Bernie because everything about him and his voting record was so consistent.
