Bernie Sanders (I) open to 2016 Presidential run

Sanders will never be President. And a vote for Sanders is a wasted vote.

Well i guess than means that the Hillary Machine is fast at work digging up dirt on Sanders.

He should have waited, now they have more time to ruin him.
Everything I've read and heard about Bernie Sanders has him as clean as a whistle. But you and I both know Hillary is in no position to be digging for dirt.

Bernie will devastate her and just about any other opponent in a debate and that is what we need to achieve. We need to support Bernie enough to bring him into open, televised debates. He'll take it from there. He will wipe the floors with them.

Bernie needs to speak the truth to power

He needs to say that Democrats are Socialists only he's gutsy enough to admit it
Mainly, he knows how to explain it and dispel the derogatory myths associated with Socialist ideology. Bernie knows how to explain why America is in desperate need of a Socialist influence to pull it out of the nose-dive it's been in ever since the Reagan Presidency.

He's a Socialist based on what positions?

Be specific as I do not look forward to living in a country overwhelmingly controlled by any given level of government.

"Under normal times, it's fine, you have a moderate Democrat running, a moderate Republican running," Sanders said. "These are not normal times.

Sanders said he would probably run as an independent.
A quick translation: in normal times Mr. Sanders could run as a democrat or republican, but now he will run as independent. he is a political genius. peace out.

Isn't he currently an Independent? I saw "I" after his name.

CNN, FOX NEWS, MSNBC, PBS also all claim to be independent networks.

He ran as, and was elected as, an Independent. I have no idea why you are trying to change the subject, nor do I care.

The radical left wasn't too concerned about a Libertarian candidate in the race for Va. Gov. but the shoe would be on the other foot if a socialist ran for president.

Just what we need...another 4 years of socialism.
What we've had is a highly skilled deception consisting of sufficiently Liberal patronage to satisfy the perceptions of Democratic voters while maintaining the controlling influence of the monied ruling class.

If you disagree, I respectfully suggest you ask yourself why Obama has bent over backward to serve the interests of Wall Street and the bankers, most of whom are plainly guilty of innumerable examples of felony fraud. Does that seem like socialism to you?

If you wish to see real Socialism, which will vastly improve life in America for all but the One Percent, support Bernie Sanders -- and VOTE FOR HIM! He is a good man.

He stands no chance.
That might have been true under past circumstances, but things have gotten so bad in recent years there have been significan't changes in the thinking of even the most radical Republican Conservatives. People are fed up with both the Democrats and the Republicans. These could be the kind of revolutionary times that inflamed the sixties.

Bernie Sanders could very well be another FDR. He is a very smart man, a decent, honest man, and he is not beholden to any party or organization. He will not get any money from Wall Street -- nor will he accept it.

Back him.

If anything, radical sentiment in this country is pushing right, not left(though it is still politically insignificant). Socialist is pretty much a smear word that even liberals deny a connection too.

The two parties have a monopoly on power in this country that will never be broken. They designed a system in which they can't lose.

Change will not come through the ballot box.

Ditto. He is a corporatist, a neo-liberal, globalist, certainly not a socialist of any stripe.

Sanders would get absolutely no traction...

the MSM might give him a few moments at first, but then would completely ignore him...

Sanders would be lucky to garner 100,000 votes nationwide...

and would play no part in throwing the electoral vote count either way in any state... including Vermont...

I've heard the same words spoken, in some form or other, for third party/independent candidates in nearly every election since and including 1980...

a Sanders run would be no different...

I think Democrats want the option to vote for true 100% Redistribution, kill the stock market eat the rich Socialism
