CDZ Barack Obama...Greatest President of Modern times

I open this discussion with if you think President Obama is not the greatest president of modern times you have to name the president and what he accomplished that is better than Obama

I don't see as a lefty how you can think he was better than Clinton. At least Clinton compromised and worked with his Republican Congress. He may had done it with gnashing teeth, but he at least did it. He still gets credit for the bills the Republicans put on his desk.

Obama did no such thing. He dug his heels in after he lost his Dem Congress in 2011. He refused to compromise or work with Republicans that held the Congress for the rest of his Presidency. What little he did get accomplished those first two years, is set to be undone by the new Repub President and Congress. All because he refused to work with them. He will go down as one of the worst President in history as he accomplished nothing. Although he can be credited with decimating the Democrat Party across the nation. They've lost so many lock, state, and federal elections.
Save me your revisionist history ignoring the stated policy of Republicans to stonewall Obama on every proposal
I can't believe the gall of conservatives to blame Obama for Republican intransigence

OK

At least we have one Conservative with balls

Unfortunately, it is a myth that "Reagan collapsed the Soviet Union"
Anyone with any knowledge of economics realizes that Reagan could not have caused the collapse in a little over two years. His Star Wars plans were just pie in the sky and no Soviet counter was needed. The Soviets didn't invest anything in beating Star Wars. The USSR had been collapsing for decades and their ill advised invasion and occupation of Afghanistan pushed them over the brink

Reagan built his economic growth on tripling the debt. A formula Conservatives said they despise

Uhm no everyone knows world wide that Reagan was responsible for destroying the Soviet Union..

And you don't have a clue what his Star Wars program led up to.

.

He's spewing loon talking points, a prime example of the Star Wars program is the USN's newest weapons

Show us

The USAF and USN have both said they will be ready to deploy combat lasers on fighters by 2020, they are also working on a type of force field protection

2020 is 40 years after Reagan became President

Neither system is designed to knock down intercontinental missiles from space

But we did and have..

The Boeing YAL-1 Airborne Laser Testbed (formerly Airborne Laser) weapons system was a megawatt-classchemical oxygen iodine laser (COIL) mounted inside a modified Boeing 747-400F. It is primarily designed as amissile defense system to destroytactical ballistic missiles (TBMs) while in boost phase. The aircraft was designated YAL-1A in 2004 by the U.S. Department of Defense.[1]

The YAL-1 with a low-power laser was test-fired in flight at an airborne target in 2007.[2] A high-energy laser was used to intercept a test target in January 2010,[3]and the following month, successfully destroyed two test missiles.[

What is your point?

One prototype that was minimally tested is not a Star Wars system

Damn sassy you are getting good at this in the years i have known you..

My mission here is almost done

.

I remember years ago the loons squawking and whining about Reagan and his Star Wars...knowing all along what was happening with it. I'm a Navy brat and my grandpa was USAF :)

Blacks were not free in 1776 nor were woman allowed to vote when the constitution was signed either..

But they knew it would happen..

Reagan set it all in Motion agree or not agree but the U. S. S. R. Collapsed
