When the Baltimore Police didn't resist looting during the first night of the riots it wasn't because that was their standard operating procedure...they didn't resist looting because they had a stand down order that was given to them by the Mayor of Baltimore. Politicians make policy and the laws. Police forces simply attempt to implement those policies and enforce those laws.

As for what created the problems in Baltimore? Listen...when one political party has overwhelmingly controlled a city for over six DECADES...it's hard to understand how you can blame what's wrong with that city on anyone else BUT that political party! I'm sorry but the Democrats OWN the problems in Baltimore because the Democrats have OWNED that city for nearly three generations!

Let's start with something that ALL cities have to deal with...schools! Democrats have hitched their political wagon to the teacher's unions who pour millions into Democratic campaign chests. What do those teacher's unions get in return? They get Democratic politicians who refuse to fund Charter schools or allow vouchers for private schools...making public schools the only game in town. Take a city like Baltimore. It spends the fourth highest amount per student in the country among cities with 40,000 or more students and yet its schools have gotten progressively worse over the past thirty years. That's a problem that liberal policies have created in a city that's been totally controlled by Democrats for sixty years.

Baltimore is a monument to decades of Democrat policy failure. The facts speak for themselves. It cannot be argued. If the GOP 100% politically controlled a city such as Baltimore for the last 50 years people like Pogo would be calling it a failure of political leadership.
