I do not take issue with our military using waterboarding on enemy combatants. I personally volunteered to be waterboarded in the past, to find out what it was like, and it is some seriously scary stuff....but it doesn't do any physical damage so I'm not as against it as I would be against say beating someone to get some info.

But if you were to ask blacks, I think it all comes down to respect. Republicans sell out to that element of their party that likes to use blacks as scapegoats. They call them lazy, freeloaders, drains on society. Republicans also oppose programs that blacks view as critical to getting out of poverty. Head start, childcare, jobs training.

No question that each black is an individual with individual wants and needs. What is universal is that blacks fear the conservative movement in this country. They realize that a conservative led country will turn back the clock and take back the gains they have seen over the last 50 years

Rather than look inward, conservatives prefer to blame the blacks themselves, call them brainwashed, tell them they are only interested in handouts
