CDZ Australian comedian about US gun laws

Just look what he says

That`s funny.
The United States, in fact, have far more gun violence than the rest of the developed world. For various reasons. To us that can seem like a regrettable but unavoidable fact of life. But to much of the rest of the world, the US attitude toward gun control seems absolutely crazy

And you know what? Everything he says in this video is true.

Liked it, I think he's right in most points, especially that the main purpose of having a gun isn't a need to protect, it's more like gun fetishism.

Yes..except for the people who use them to stop criminals..........

And by the way...rape is a huge problem in Australia....their women can't defend themselves,effectively.......no guns.....

I don't care what some foreigner whose ancestor's were convicts has to say about us. .....

And us Aussie's don't care if you keep on murdering one another. You are all up in arms over a terrorist attack that killed 3000 of you, but Americans kill tens of thousands of their own every year and no one bats an eye.

Edit: Forgot this was the CDZ, sorry!

Most people in the US who carry a gun carry one because they like guns, not because they want to protect anyone.

Hmmmm...and Europe leads the world in death camps and genocide of unarmed people......they gave the world nazis, communists and brought African slavery to our country.........

And of course the Australians treated the Aborigines very well.....since they had guns and the Aborigines did not....

Do you realize that the mass murder of innocent people by European Governments outnumbers all of our deaths by criminals using guns....? And that was only 74 years ago...imagine what will happen over there as they import immigrants from extremely violent 3rd world populations and turn them lose on European citizens trained to be victims..........you think we have a lot of murders...just wait......

But the last mass shooting in Australia was...???

2011....and before that 2002....

From wikipedia....

v
  • Monash University shooting - In October 2002, Huan Yun Xiang, a student, shot his classmates and teacher, killing two and injuring five.
  • Churchill Fire - 10 confirmed deaths due to a deliberately lit fire. The fire was lit on 7 February 2009.[5]
  • Lin family murders - On July 2009, Lian Bin "Robert" Xie killed his sister, her husband and three members of their family (5 persons from the Lin family) with a hammer. The faces of the victims were so disfigured that forensics had to be used to identify them. The motivation for the family massacre were partly because Lin had criticised Xie for not having a job.
  • 2011 Hectorville siege - A mass shooting that took place on Friday, April 29, 2011, in Hectorville, South Australia. It began after a 39-year-old male, Donato Anthony Corbo, went on a shooting rampage, killing three people and wounding a child and two police officers, before being arrested by Special Operations police after an eight-hour siege.[6]
  • Quakers Hill Nursing Home Fire - 10 confirmed and as many as 21 people may have died as a result of a deliberately lit fire in a Quakers Hill nursing home. The fire was lit early on 18 November 2011.[7]
  • Cairns stabbings - A woman stabbed 8 children to death on Friday, 2014, December 19, 2014, 7 of them were her own.[8]
You guys seem to like fire to kill large numbers of people...it is cheaper......and kills just as many as guns.....

A mass shooting is defined as the killings of at least four people. None of those killed more than three.

The woman in Cairns doesn't count because it was a stabbing. Neither does the nursing home fire.

They used guns....right....?

Do you research before you post...gun levels in Australia are back to the same levels as before Port Arthur......

From 2013....

Is Australia staring down the barrel of a gun crisis

THERE is a gun battle going on in Australia. As bikie gang members and drug dealers gun each other down on a regular basis, sending fear through the community, authorities seem to be fighting a losing battle to keep firearms out of their hands.

Without scaremongering, here are the facts:

* There have been 39 people shot in Sydney this year, most related to an ongoing bikie war.

* Conservative estimates say there are more than a quarter-of-a-million illegal firearms in Australia.

* Gun ownership in Australia is back at pre-Port Arthur massacre levels.

* Carrying a gun is becoming more common and ingrained in outlaw culture.

* Gun amnesties barely put a dent in the number of weapons.

* Innocent people are being caught up in gun battles.

* There has been a steady increase in gun-related crimes over the past seven years.

Most gun related violence is between bad guys killing other bad guys. No mass shootings and if that were to happen again, we'd go after the guns, and no one would care what others thought.

Wow...that is the same in the United States....our gun violence, like yours is confined mainly to gangs and drug dealers in small, multi block areas of our cities...the worst 25 have been controlled by one political party, the democrats for decades. So if you take out our inner city gang killings, our gun murder rate is slightly lower than yours....

And we didn't give up our guns.....

And as more Americans own and carry guns for protection...our gun murder rate has gone down, dramatically......and we didn't give up our guns......

it is good you have faith that your government will always be pure and kind hearted....cause if it ever changes...your children and grandchildren will regret your pacifism....just like the innocent men, women and children in Europe did as they were marched off to death camps.....

Yes..except for the people who use them to stop criminals..........
How often does it happen? One time in a year?
And by the way...rape is a huge problem in Australia....their women can't defend themselves,effectively.......no guns.....
Woman carrying gun risks to be raped both with penis and her gun if the rapist is dexterous enough. Pepper ball is much more effective.

They just don't appreciate all that the second amendment brings us

Guns= FREEDOM

Even Rightwinger gets it right.....
Once in a while.

Don't forget....Guns keep us safe

Those thirty thousand deaths a year are just the small price we pay for our second amendment freedoms

most of those are suicides.

Are you now saying that a person doesn't even have the right to decide if he lives or dies?

I'll say it again

You only have a .0035% chance of being murdered with a gun

So really guns are not the threat you all seem to think they are

In the US?
Yeah. How many criminals have you stopped with your M14? How many criminals were stopped by gun owners but not by law enforcement agencies?

In the United States gun are used by Americans to stop or prevent violent criminal attack and save lives on average 2 million times a year......non law enforcement, non military uses of the weapons.
