Assassination attempt implies a plan existed and was underway but the article says nothing about weapons or explosives seized or anything at all. Even if this guy was plotting something there are no details as to what the plot was. There is something fishy about this that has nothing to with a fantastical "deep state" and everything with a news outlet sensationalizing the fairly routine occurrence of an internet troll going too far in his comments.
