I dont believe it to be racism, it is fear and ignorance, however, common with Arpaios supporters and those hostile to the Constitution in general.
Let's see, is this the same Justice Department that began investigating and harassing Sheriff Joe 4 days after Holder took over as it's head, is suing 3 states for enforcing this country's immigration laws because they won't...or the same Justice Department, run by a black man, who refused to even investigate a CAUGHT ON TAPE voter intimidation by members of the Black Panthers against whites?
Maybe it's the same Justice Department whose director LIED to Congress about forcing American gun dealers to sale guns ILLEGALLY to Mexican drug cartels. Guns that have killed HUNDREDS of Mexicans and at least 3 American government officials including a border patrol agent!

The snag is evidence Justice has an abundant amount with regard to Arpaio, you have none with your post.
No surprise that Eric Holder would do something like this with the elections less than a year out...he has so much knowledge in this matter. Yet, he has no knowledge of what the ATF was doing with the "Fast & Furious". This is THE MAN that is in charge of the ATF. Go figure with this kind of bias justice from this administration.

Emails written by deputies caricatured Mexicans as being from "Mexifornia," and deputies derided Latino inmates as "wetbacks," "Mexican bitches," "stupid Mexicans" and other epithets.
Prosecutors say the abuse begins with deputies targeting Latino drivers, who it said were four to nine times more likely to be stopped than whites, and asserted that officers "treat Latinos as if they are all undocumented, regardless of whether a legitimate factual basis exists to suspect that a person is undocumented."
