Yes.....there is no reason to license gun owners, no need to register guns (if it is unConstitutional to require felons to register their illegally owned guns, then it is unConstitutional to force normal gun owners to register theirs) and there is no need to have universal background checks...

How do I know we don't need those things...because another illegal gun seller was caught without them....he was caught the way all other criminals are caught...with actual police work...

New Hampshire man arrested for trafficking arms to Massachusetts


John Miller, 29, was arrested on a host of charges in Tewksbury, which is about a 30-mile drive from his home in Milford, New Hampshire. Charges include:

• trafficking firearms,
• sale of an assault weapon,
• sale of a large capacity shotgun,
• carrying a firearm without a license,
• possession of a large capacity assault rifle,
• possession of a large capacity shotgun,
• unlicensed sale of ammunition,
• possession of ammunition without a license,
• commission of a felony while being armed,
• and 11 counts of possession of a large capacity feeding device.

Tewksbury detectives along with Special Agents with the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives began investigating Miller after his alleged attempts to sell firearms in Tewksbury and at least one other Massachusetts municipality.

Miller agreed to meet with an undercover ATF agent at the Holiday Inn in Tewksbury. He sold undercover agent an assault rifle, shotgun, and more than 3,000 rounds of ammo.

After Miller was arrested, investigators searched his car and found a loaded handgun and more ammunition. He was arraigned at a Lowell District Court on Oct. 21.

Now....do you think if he was willing to sell all these weapons illegally, and risk a long jail sentence and huge fines....that any law that you create could keep him from doing this.....

Would licensing this guy have stopped him?

No.

Would requiring him to register those guns have stopped him?

No.

Would requiring that all private sales go through a background check have stopped him?

No.

Milford man arrested on slew of weapons-related charges, police say

Defense attorneys said Miller has New Hampshire licenses for all his guns, but prosecutors said he crossed the state line and sold them illegally.

"Essentially, he was caught red-handed selling the firearms to the ATF agent," prosecutor Tommy Noda said.

Police said that on Tuesday, Miller sold the agent an AR-15, a shotgun and more than 3,000 rounds of ammunition.

"The facts and circumstances of this case are incredibly serious, where there are indications that this defendant came down from New Hampshire to Massachusetts specifically to sell these firearms and the ammunition to the ATF agent," Noda said.

Well, the laws that I support worked.....your laws didn't. He broke the law trying to sell guns illegally and he was arrested.......licensing him didn't stop him....but catching him in the act did....so normal police work was all that was necessary....

Thanks, I forgot about that one......this case shows our belief works, the anti gun extremist laws don't......if someone breaks the law with a gun...arrest them...and leave normal gun owners alone.

Suicides don't count...that is drugs, alcohol and mental illness...considering Japan, China, And South Korea have no access to gun and have higher rates of sucidie than we do.....add to that there are 19,000 suicides in the United States that do not use guns......and without guns, the people who used guns to commit suicide will just use what the other 19,000 suicides used....

Domestic violence is also alcohol, drug and crime created....you can put a gun in a normal home and they will never be used to murder the wife because she burned dinner....

the determining factor is past criminal activity and past history of violent, anti social behavior....guns aren't the issue.
