If you accept that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and died for your sins you are saved. If once you have accepted Christ as your Savior, you never do a good deed again, you are saved. Your participation in your salvation is not a requirement, in fact is a detriment. There is nothing you can add to Christ's work on the cross. Attempting to good work your way into Heaven takes your eyes off of Christ and on to you. You'll never rest.

Many Christian teachers teach the opposite. Many insist you be like Christ before you enter their churches, not understanding that church, that Christ is for sinners, for those that need healed, not for those who act like they already are.
I know exactly whose name is written in the Lambs Book of Life. Those that have accepted the Lamb. It is written at the time you accept Him, not after your good deeds have been counted.
