Dr. Emanuel architect of the Affordable Care Act, has repeatedly said he wants to live to age 75.
This from the architect of Obamacare. As of today he has less than 8.88 years, left.
Now another "architect" of Obamacare Jonathan Gruber, who said at one time why Obamacare was passed.." And basically, call it the 'stupidity of the American voter' https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...-for-stupidity-of-the-american-voter-comment/
has documented that "using data from the Census Bureau, estimate that Medicaid “produced 63% of the gains [in coverage] that we identified”
So if one of the architects' of ACA says he believes he shouldn't live beyond 75, what does he think the rest of us who've lived more than 75 should do, ( i.e. commit suicide?) to save the USA SS and Medicare outlays?
With the Average SS payment per year being :$21,384 per year (Policy Basics: Top Ten Facts about Social Security | Center on Budget and Policy Priorities.)) or with 22,874,920 people over 75 that could be a savings of $1,193,227,200,000 !
Now some of you who believe that Israel bombed that Gaza hospital BECAUSE "Tlaib refuses to apologize for blaming Israel for Gaza hospital blast, attacks Biden 'Squad' Rep. Tlaib ignores US intel about Gaza hospital, sides with Hamas over Biden admin. " Believe we should die!

I've been saying for a long time we need to raise the Medicare and Social Security eligibility ages to 70, and index to 9 percent of the population going forward.

We are living longer than our ancestors, we should be working longer. This is just plain common sense.

Anything else is simply unsustainable over the long term. We need elected officials with the courage to do the right thing. Unfortunately, they are thin on the ground.

Democrats had this all planned out long before Obamacare.

You all are just along for the ride. You have no voice.

What for? Our inability and our unwillingness to remove the max income cap on SS? To raise taxes on higher earners and stop bowing at the feet of Grover Norquist and the Laffer Curve? If we are living longer, than you should be able to enjoy that longer if you want. No. In this country, you should be able to retire at 65 with SS if you want. Before that?..up to you and your income and savings.

Three years ago the GOP’s position was literally that it’s old people’s duty to die to save the economy, and now they’re back to try and subtly imply that the ACA was somehow secretly designed to kill people older than 75. What a load of shit.

So Zeke is the one Boomer who doesn’t think he’s owed immortality on the taxpayer’s dime. That has fuck all to do with Obamacare.
