Anti-Tea Party Election?

too many voters base their vote on "electability" witch is looks and acting ability
Meant to say "which". Not referencing the O'Donnell candidacy.

Hello! It takes 218 to claim a majority. Even the Conservatives are going to make fun of most of the Tea Party "agenda" items. Anyone might start with the requirement to attach the law book reams of settle case law, to all the legislation, for example demonstrating what something like NASA has to do with the original, meaning of the concepts in the U. S. Constitution! That is just a start.

There is the matter of the $3.6 tril. obligated, federal spending to have to work with.

Giant Central Government is normative around the international trading level world. A Lot of it is self-described Socialist. Socialists even buy U. S. Securities.

The Speaker of the House may not be able to look to the right all the time, even when crossing a street! There is even a nut loose, in Washington, D. C., shooting at military offices and installations.

The Tea Party is not likely to be favored in large sectors the two major parties, unlike the Socialist: Which the Tea Party ignored!

The Tea Party can't say that at all(?)!

"Crow, James Crow, Shaken, Not Stirred!"
(Tiny Tale of Big Government Dog: Not Big Government Dog Itself(?)! Hmmm!)

This is soooooo awesome. The Dems lose like nothing that has happened in 60+ years... and it is "anti Teaparty".

Absolutely hilarious.

Come Soggy, I can hardly be considered a Democrat!

My point is Karl Rove is right considering electability in some states is very important!

The TPs had a lot of successes yesterday. But yea, there is a need to consider electability.

This election ended up being much more than just a mid term shift. With the shift of parties in the Gov. races to the Congressional races, even in the Senate races, it was a referendum of the Obama agenda....no mistake about that.

no different than 2006 and 2008.

don't make more of it than it is. and if the loons try to shut down the government, they'll go the way of newt's contract on america.

Actually, it took two elections to get where they were, Jillian. Those two elections were a referendum on Bush, agreed. But, it's been before my lifetime to see a shift of this magnatude in just one election.
Now, the republicans will have to walk the walk...no doubt. I'm hoping there isn't a party of "no", and some progress will be made in the right direction.

they weren't just a referendum on bush. they were a referendum on repub policies. how you all convinced people that those failed policies should be in place again is another issue. but the 'ihopehefails' thing has been pretty effective since jan 2008.

this was the stupidest election in my lifetime....nastier than anything i've ever seen.

really... running on the dems not creating jobs when the repubs created FEWER jobs?

voting for people who say there shouldn't have been a civil rights act??

You are missing the point. BOTH parties pissed away jobs in the last 25-years or so. The dems ran on stopping Bush's deficit spending, and then pass the mother of all entitlements, UHC. Add in "Cap+Tax", add in "energy prices necessarily need to skyrocket" and you get 10% unemployment. Add in suing AZ over their stance on illegals, add in not prosecuting the Black Panthers, add in the czars, etc. They don't get that SS & Medicare need to be protected.

If you liked the 2010 election, you'll really like the 2012 election. I hope Chris Christie is the GOP nominee, someone who knows how to deal with staggering debt and make things better.

I think Angle shows how strong the tea party movement is. When a batshit crazy nutcase can take the leader of the Senate to the wire is totally impressive. Any kind of Mark Rubio, Johnson from wisconsin, or Paul would have thrashed the skinny boxer from NV.

"When a batshit crazy nutcase can take the leader of the Senate to the wire" in the state hit hardest by the Great Recession, and he still wins "is totally impressive", in my opinion.

Reids' closest election was in 1998 against John Ensign, not Angle.
Once again, I maintain that the teaparty needs to use this election as a 'teachable moment' and consider whether or not future candidates meet a basic standard in order to pass a 'reasonableness-test' with voters.

I understand what you mean, B. Kidd, but if we go to letting the party pass a "reasonable" test, then we start dictating the people's will in the primaries.

Ahhh yes, primaries............where voter turnout is the lowest of any election and stay at home voters who vote in other elections assume that a sane candidate will be elected.

Do you want the ignorant, unwashed mass like bigrebncs of the state voting or . . . OK, i see what you mean.
