Well, sort of:lol::lol: Pretty startling to see it still growing...maximum extent is reached in September normally...

Wow! Wait.. wait a minute. ANTarctic sea ice.... I see. That would be the ice that will be 100% gone next May. That would be the ice being fed by the enormously accelerated glacial flow pouring formerly land-borne ice off the continent. That would be the excess ice enabled by the freshwater (more easily frozen) layer the increased precipitation has created.

I wonder why you gents seem so pleased to see increased Antarctic sea ice when it has never been significantly decreasing? What is it YOU see happening and what scientists support those views?

....because of AGW.

It's like three card Monte except all three cards say AGW

Hotter? AGW

Colder? AGW

Less Ice? AGW

More Ice? AGW

It's fool-proof!

A state of emergency has been declared in New South Wales as Australian firefighters battle bushfires that have already destroyed more than 200 homes.

The announcement comes as conditions look set to deteriorate with soaring temperatures and strong winds expected to fan the flames in the coming days.

The Blue Mountains, west of Sydney, has been the worst-hit region with some fires still raging out of control.

State officials say they are the most dangerous conditions in 40 years.

New South Wales Premier Barry O'Farrell said the declaration would give emergency services additional powers over the next 30 days which could include cutting gas and power supplies if needed.

No, it is not still growing, and there were bigger analomys in 2008, 2011.

And the max this year is about the same as in 2007, 2012.

Do you understand the difference between Climate and weather?

"New Study: ’2013 ranks as one of the least extreme U.S. weather years ever’– Many bad weather events at ‘historically low levels’

'Whether you’re talking about tornadoes, wildfires, extreme heat or hurricanes, the good news is that weather-related disasters in the US are all way down this year compared to recent years and, in some cases, down to historically low levels.'
Tornadoes: 'lowest total in several decades'
Number of wildfires: 'On pace to be the lowest it has been in the past ten years'
Extreme Heat: The number of 100 degree days may 'turn out to be the lowest in about 100 years of records'
Hurricanes: 'We are currently in the longest period (8 years) since the Civil War Era without a major hurricane strike in the US (i.e., category 3, 4 or 5)' ( last major hurricane to strike the US was Hurricane Wilma in 2005)"

Funny but Australia is prone to dry periods. The biggest problem it faces in regards to water is population growth:

"But this, the driest inhabited continent, has lived with the scourge of drought throughout its entire history."

"The succession of droughts has lead some to question the future of population growth in Australia."

That is why AGW scientists have such credibility. They make predictions, the predictions come true, over and over.

As I have demonstrated to you before fraud boy fires in Australia are so common that their flora is actually dependent on fire for its life cycle just like the sagebrush in California is. You see dummy when fire is actually PART of the life cycle, your ignorant statements just prove what idiots you are.

"Krill reproduction is wholly dependent on Antarctic sea ice conditions. Seasonal studies have shown that winters with reduced size and duration of winter sea ice coincide with poor krill reproduction. This is because the underside of sea ice is coated with ice-algae which serves as the main food for krill during the winter when phytoplankton is unavailable."

Sanders fretted to biologist Fabrice Genevois: "Is that a canary in the coal mine for us as humans?" Genevois agreed: "Yeah, I mean that could be the canary in the coal mine, exactly." After hyping data that "2012 was the hottest year ever on record," Sanders posed this question: "So if the ice is melting in some parts because of our use of fossil fuels, because of global warming, what are we supposed to do?" He then informed viewers that he consulted scientists who found the solution: "...we can do something like just start carpooling."

Sorry to pop that balloon, don`t take it personal but it`s the Aussie authorities that say that most of their brush fires have been delibarately started by "fire bugs". This one they suspect was caused by a military training exercise that went out of control:
BBC News - Australia bushfires: New South Wales declares state of emergency
'Firebugs' monitored More than 37,000 hectares (91,400 acres) have already been ravaged by fire in the state in the past several days.
Officials say that 15 blazes remain out of control.
Smoke and ash from the bushfires have blanketed the Sydney skyline.
Australia's military is currently investigating whether a training exercise using explosives may have started one of the fires.
The exercise took place at a base near the town of Lithgow in the Blue Mountains region on Wednesday.
In the past, many such fires have turned out to have been started deliberately, and police say they are monitoring dozens of "firebugs" - people with a history of committing arson, the BBC's Jon Donnison reports from Sydney.
Furthermore they have it on record that the 1960 season was just as conducive to wild fires as this one. Similar temperatures, dry air and high winds.
The difference between then and now is that this region is now populated and 50 years ago wildfires in Australia did not make a big splash in the media.
Come on you must have noticed what makes the "news" these days.
If a truck tips over or a pedestrian bridge collapses in China,.. or a car plows into a fast food outlet it`s instant media fodder.

Almost everybody but the other denier cult retards understands the difference between climate and weather better than you do, CrazyFruitcake. As you demonstrate once again with your moronic post here.
Long term patterns = climate
Year to year variations = weather

2012 Has Had Most Extreme Weather On Record for U.S.
Climate Central
September 11th, 2012
By Andrew Freedman
(excerpts)
The first eight months of 2012 had the most extreme weather in U.S. since such record-keeping began in 1910, according to the National Climatic Data Center (NCDC). The Climate Extremes Index, or CEI, is used to track the highest and lowest 10 percent of extremes in temperature, precipitation, drought, and tropical storms and hurricanes across the lower 48 states. That the year-to-date was the most extreme on record should not come as much of a surprise, since the year to date was the hottest on record, and a massive drought, accompanied by searing heat waves, gripped much of the country from March through the end of the summer.

According to the NCDC, the extremes index was more than one and a half times the average value during the summer, which was the result of record heat and dryness. Studies show that global climate change is already increasing the odds of some extreme weather and climate events, particularly heat waves and precipitation extremes, including droughts and floods. The CEI's value for the January-to-August period was a record 47 percent, meaning that 47 percent of the contiguous U.S. experienced top 10 percent extreme weather conditions. The average value during this period is just 20 percent. "Extremes in warm daytime temperatures and warm nighttime temperatures contributed to the record high USCEI value," the NCDC stated in a report released on Monday. The second most extreme CEI value on record occurred just last year.
