Another Win For AOC!

I care less if it's a win for AOC. I support the idea of the government not forcing taxpayers to pay for a private businesses expenses. I support what happened here. Period.

We should take positions based upon how it affects a politician?
You are as short sighted as Cortez. State governments make investments in long term relationships with big businesses.
They are not owed the money that would flow to them from Amazon as opposed to somewhere else.
The long term advantages to New York in having Amazon place a major business within their tax district is enormous.

But you seem as short sighted and petty as that infamous dope, AOC.
You can stick a finger in the eye of Bezos today, but in the long term it's you and people like you who will be nursing their wounds.

Wanting to pay it is besides the point.

It is the point. If their rates were lower, more corporations would be there.

New York is not an inexpensive place. If you want to argue that a company would be better off locating elsewhere, argue that but that is not what Amazon wanted. They should not get special considerations over other companies. That is neither fair or capitalistic.

Without the incentives, they located elsewhere. I guess they decided they would be better off.

New York state and NYC's high taxes and over regulation are neither fair nor capitalistic.

They "relocated" nowhere.

Without the incentives, they located elsewhere

Playing with words is not a legit argument.

I agree, you changing located to relocated was wrong.

Only left wingers would think going from 25,000 jobs to 1,500 jobs is a win.......this is why socialism always fails.....

Who wants to pay the inflated NYC or New York state taxes?

Wanting to pay it is besides the point. If you want to go there you play by the rules that others have to. Otherwise you have a government that benefits some companies over others. Is that Capitalism?

Funny, you're blaming others for "playing with words" while that's what you're doing.

You know exactly what he meant when he said it, but since you have no argument, you just derail it.

You are free to support your socialism for big business just don't tell me you are a capitalist.

He didn't say anything.

Let's run some rough numbers.................I'm sure some libtard will pic a nit.

Net loss of 23,500 jobs.
Est avg income of $75,000
NYC income tax 3.5%
NY State income tax 6.5%

Net income tax loss per year around $17,625,000

'WINNING"

:5_1_12024:
Where is the $3 Billion in tax cuts and incentives, in your figures, dope?
Please list these tax cuts and incentives. Be specific.

Net loss of 23.500+ jobs is "winning" in Libnutland.

Bullshit! To house 25,000+ employees you need a 5.6M square foot building; 225 square feet per employee.

The 337,000 square foot office space that Amazon is leasing is actually a bit tight for 1,500.

Please list these tax cuts and incentives. Be specific.

For starters, paid moving expenses. Then, for 10 years, no taxes or fees. Then after the subsidies run dry, they pull a Walmart and close up shop. CHING!!!!!

Link to these moving expenses paid by NY?

And how many taxes and fees is NY getting for Amazon not being there while NY misses out on around $17 MILLION in state and city income taxes from the now non-existent Amazon employees?

Also, would those 23,500 employees you now don't have in NY who would have been making an avg of $75,000/year paid any state and local sales taxes?

How about property taxes?

Oops!
