I have to ask. Were any of these high temperatures taken in or near cities? Were any of them taken near asphalt or cement roads? Exactly how many of these high temperatures were taken in remote areas? It is hard to define a rise in temperature if it is artificially influenced by man made structures. Things like buildings, roads and other things tend to change temperature a lot. So unless we are sure we are comparing apples to apples then it is very hard to say that the temperature has changed in a given time period. I know for a fact that a lot of the U.S. weather stations that used to be away from cites are now close to or surrounded by them. A larger number of them from even fifteen years ago now have man made roads and other structures near them, making the readings taken a little suspect if not completely so.

The pristine rural stations show exactly the same warming trend as the urban stations.
