How do you know that if Tarkanian or Lowden had gotten the Republican nomination it would have been a sure win? Did Miss Cleo tell you that with her crystal ball? Those polls were taken months ago. You have no idea what could have happened with those other candidates between now and then that could have put them in the same tight race we see today, or worse.
