America's fertility rate decline

I saw pictures of it after their protest rallies comparing them to rallies held by the old TEA party, where no trash was left. ;)

So, I see it's raining outside, so it MUST BE RAINING everywhere.

That's your "logic".... or lack of.

My point is that liberals are messy, especially when they assemble in large groups for political purposes. It's an apt metaphor for the solutions they impose when they are successful. :omg:

Your point is that all the problems in the world are caused by liberals and everything great is done by conservatives.

Your point is that your team is always the best and the opposing team must be the worst because... otherwise... what would that make you?

I could personalize it, and I would look pretty good, imo.

Comment:
The problem is the Left's influence on young women.
The Left tells women that marriage and family is oppression.
The Left is trying to groom young boys to be gay and gender confused.
The Left is anti-motherhood and anti-family.
Wrong. The problem is that Japan and the West are affluent and, as standards of living increase, birth rates decline. Everywhere!

A minor issue is the cost of raising a family in the US. Day care, health care, and eldercare can affect the decision of young families as to how many kids they can afford to have. Note that it is the Right that prevents society from doing more to help families.

Republicans support most welfare programs for needy families. However, they don't want families to be rewarded for being needy.

So they complain about the declining birthrate but won't do anything about it. Sounds like a solid GOP plan to me.

Too many people for what? If we closed our borders to immigration the population would continue to decline and we'd cease to be a superpower. That what you want?
We'd still be a superpower, plus have a higher standard of living.

Who is going into the army to defend up? Who is going to farm or operate the factories or drive trucks and trains? Who is going to pay taxes?

We might go full-blown automation but if we don't also go full-blown socialist we'll have a few people owning everything and the rest clawing for crumbs. Doesn't sound like utopia to me.

Fewer workers, full employment, higher pay, better education, better standard of living, fewer societal problems, more money for other stuff, less stress, less pollution, etc.

A shrinking economy will give us none of that. I guess we'll see how the Chinese handle the results of their one-child, social experiment.

Fewer people would mean a better economy. The bottom of the economic pyramid are the poor, uneducated people. They are a drag on a prosperous economy.

I don't see how you figure that. If there are a billion people in the US there are plenty of workers and taxpayers. If there is only one person in the US he has to do every job and that would be rough.

A nation is just a family grown great. Families are having fewer kids, or none at all, so they can have a better financial life. Even immigrants understand this. Immigrant families have fewer kids here than they would in their native country in order to enjoy a higher standard of living.

2.1. That’s the replacement rate, meaning each woman would, on average, need to have 2.1 children for a generation to exactly replace itself. In 2022, the U.S.’ fertility rate was around 1.7 children per woman. If not for immigration the US population would be falling.
