Americans spend more on their healthcare compared to any other country in the world. But we are not anywhere near having the best healthcare system.

If you really want to reduce health care costs, change the medical malpractice laws. No other country has the nonsense malpractice laws that we do. European doctors don't practice defensive medicine ordering obscure tests and prescribing unnecessary medications just to avoid a lawsuit. Get serious. Before "tort lotto" we paid the doctor ourselves because doctors didn't have to pay the premiums on a ten million dollar malpractice insurance.

Trolling ^. You sound like a far left-wing BLM activist. The stats are shown to you and you make something up because you don’t like what you hear.

there are eight or nine other western European countries who have better healthcare quality compared to America. It’s a fact their lifespan is longer.

It’s probably because in some of those countries, the cost of education at the college level is considerably less than this racket we have in America. It’s a disgrace you know the tuition fees in the United States, were astronomically lower back in the day compared to the highway robbery it is today. Some schools that are not even Ivy League schools cost $100,000 a year to attend. What a joke it’s pathetic. It’s not something that the World War II generation fought for.
Lifespan has nothing to do with healthcare when combined with other factors such as genetics, climate, etc.

We've been more on healthcare, Because the healthcare industry in the united states has always Had free rain to price gouge. Some hospitals have been known to charge as much as five thousand percent markups on medications.

That can happen in America, too. Maybe 20 years ago, that would have been different, but not now. Canadians can get treated for sickness and not have to worry about medical bankruptcy...unlike their neighbor to the south.
In that case obama could have adopted catastrophic health insurance as a sensible alternative to all-inclusive socialized medicine

People would sign up and pay in advance for the very expensive care needed for life threatening illnesses yet pay as they go for the little stuff

But the term “sensible” seldom applies to democrats

I'm not sure if it's just willful ignorance on the part of many here or if they are just this brainwashed by the politicians trying to sell doom and gloom. If you self present at an ER and have a condition that requires emergency care, you will get treated. This is the case in all 50 states.

The American Healthcare system--if you can gain access to it--is the best in the world. Hands down. Nobody else even comes close. We have the best trained doctors, nurses, technicians, etc... in the world. Even red states have decided that regulation is needed in this area; probably because they don't regulate the other areas that cause workers to have to seek healthcare so frequently. Now there are striations within that system. Largely because medical professionals are upwardly mobile. Keeping a good RN is very difficult. Not because they get burned out as we saw during covid, its because there is a bidding war for them. As a result, they get their feet wet in public health care. And a few years later...they leave to go to for-profit. Can't blame them in the least. So as a result, the public healthcare sphere suffers.

The key is to get access to the healthcare system. This is the barrier to entry that Obama wished to solve and what he did helped tremendously. As someone who works in hospital administration, our census is not only higher than it has been historically; our census is much more diverse than it has ever been. Persons who would wait until they had to have an ambulance bring them to the hospital are now scheduling surgeries to prevent acute care. Therapies are replacing procedures. And the surprising thing is that we are making a killing (no pun intended) on this bonanza. If you're playing the market long term, invest in health care. The profits structure is only growing.

We the American taxpayers have spent trillions of dollars of our money invading Iraq in 2003. We spent hundreds of billions of dollars of our hard earned money, giving it away to Israel and Ukraine for their wars which have zero effect on America. This is unbelievable. A better route would be to allow individual Americans to send money to Ukraine or Israel if they want to. But not trillions of dollars of our hard earned tax money that’s not right my friends.

The American people spend more on our healthcare compared to any other country of the world. But we are something like 10th Place in the world when it comes to quality healthcare. That doesn’t make any sense. …why it happens is due to the greed of the health insurance industry, and the stupidity of the American politicians, along with greed and selfishness of the American politicians some of them make big money from the healthcare lobbies and big Pharma. There are those politicians who want change for the better, but their voices are not as strong as they should be.

All of that money trillions of dollars that was used in a way that did not benefit The American people should have been used to eradicate homelessness and have the greatest healthcare system in world history. We are the most powerful country in world history. America’s the greatest country in the world history. It’s time to live up to it. Free healthcare for all American citizens and the absolute best Nursing homes for American taxpayers when they get older, and perhaps have dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, or are unable to take care of themselves.

Unfortunately, Democrats today don’t talk about this issue. They brainwashed their supporters to support Ukraine and Israel, and to support the evil idea that America has a racist imperialist history.

It used to be the that the Democratic Party under John Kennedy , Andrew Jackson and FDR , and other great men of our history stood up for what was right. Working toward things like a better healthcare system.
Best as defined by quality being put behind availability and other less desired priorities. I for one want to see quality first.

I think the "solution" is basically heavily regulated privatized insurance and provider care, Obama-care but with more teeth. The effective repeal of the mandate penalty was a mistake. It should be costly to not have insurance. That way everyone buys insurance. Moreover, prices should be totally transparent - that should be an up-front requirement. It's ridiculous that people can't find out what they're paying until weeks after a doctor's visit. There should also be price controls, too.

Other than that, a public option might not be so bad for low-income folks who don't quite qualify for medicaid. In fact scrap medicaid and just have a low-income option that's either minimum or no-cost. Private care would still exist.

Healthcare would not be "free" with a rational system such as so many other nations have, it would just be much less expensive than it currently is in the U.S.

“Free” huh? We do offer free healthcare to Mexicos people…are you beggars bitching about that?
How are going to get doctors, nurses and staff to work for “free”…how will we get builders to build hospitals and clinics for free?
These other countries offering “free” healthcare…what is their tax rate? What are they paying for fuel? How many wetbacks are they fostering and begging to invade?

correct. Obiden 1 solved it by implementing $8K deductible and $12K iut of pocket max per person. Used to be a $10 co-pay or so. Nothing is free. But to Illegals and the poor requring medical. We cover the cost indirectly now. Premiums up over $1000/mo. Used to be maybe 1/3 of that.

no one making less than $25/hr living in CA could ever pay healthcare premiums. Mandate all you want. They can’t do it and live.

Insta-win.

There is no more obvious evidence that neither criminal party serves The People than the lack of adequate healthcare for all.
We need to offer “adequate healthcare for all“ of Mexico’s people first…then we can work on “adequate healthcare for all” Americans….then we should provide “adequate” automobiles, “adequate” homes, “adequate“ everything…..FOR ALL!

The OP said "Free" you fucking imbecile. I was trying to get it to tell us how the 'Free' thing works.

BTW, I have forgotten more about funding Health Care than a dimocrap fucking moron like you will ever know.

Maybe you should tell us how the 'free' part works? How about that, genius. You seem to to want us to believe you have an above-room-temperature-IQ.

You don't. All you know is what your betters (which is about anybody) feed you as Pablum every day through the media.

Only dimocrap scum believe in Free. Nothing is free. You may not pay for it, but it isn't free.

stupid little bitch
Here is what the OP said:

"All of that money trillions of dollars that was used in a way that did not benefit The American people should have been used to eradicate homelessness and have the greatest healthcare system in world history. Read that first sentence you dumb piece of shit. This entire post was about using tax dollars for an actual tangible return and not to use it for dumb wars. By free, the OP means every citizen should be able to walk into a doctors office and receive "free" healthcare, because tax dollars have covered it. Why in the fuck is this so hard for you to understand you dumb piece of shit?

But no. Instead you'd rather have a system where there are deductibles, confusing rules, certain doctors you have to visit....all controlled by your corporate masters who profit off sick people. You are one sick fuck.

Now go fuck yourself, you Red Hat piece of shit.

Nowhere in the Constitution is it mentioned so if the state you live in wants to give "free" healthcare your state taxes can pay for it. That's fair and the 10th Amendment.

I have no issue with a little regulation of healthcare but Federal control, fuck no. Nothing in the history of the world has ever been made better by more Government. The Fed has fucked up Veterans healthcare and you want them to manage all of it ?
