No, someone outgrew their pet and released it.

A small gator but apparently he was eating well.

Absolute proof. This gator, due to climate change, was able to be shipped from parts south to a pet store in greater Pittsburgh, be purchased by some suburban shit bird, kept for 3 or 4 months, bite a finger, scare the suburbanite and be dropped in a park.
