Aleppo has been liberated from terrorists completely. The Syrian Arab Army declared victory over the so called "rebels" in Aleppo. This decisive victory highlights the path this war is heading on. It is not reversible and fills Syria and the entire world with confidence that the victory over global terrorism is not far! Syria and her allies should be praised for battling this plague day by day!

Syrian army declares victory in Aleppo

"The Syrian Army has officially liberated Aleppo after ousting rebels from their last bastions in the eastern part of the city.

Early on Monday, the Syrian Arab Army made significant advances leaving only three residential blocks in the hands of anti-government forces.

The rebels had little choice but to "surrender or die," Lieutenant Gen. Zaid al-Saleh, director of Syria’s security committee, told reporters in the Sheik Saeed district.

The Battle of Aleppo lasted more than four years after fighting broke out on July 19, 2012. In 24 hours leading up to the victory, approximately 10,000 to 13,000 civilians fled the city, bringing the total number of refugees up to around 130,000, according to reports.

After local TV outlets reported the victory, residents flooded the streets, firing guns in the air in celebration.

Syrian government television channel Sana showed President Bashar al-Assad congratulating Syrian troops following the proclamations of victory in Aleppo.

Throughout the battle of Aleppo, government forces repeatedly urged civilians to leave the area, organizing humanitarian corridors to arrange the safe passage of those who wanted to escape furious street battles. However, terrorist groups fighting in Aleppo forcibly prevented civilians from leaving the area whilst using them as human shields. "Civilians are being used as pawns and prevented from leaving," UN spokesman Rupert Colville said recently.

Meanwhile, on Monday morning some 4,000 ISIL militants launched an offensive on Palmyra, Syria armed with heavy weaponry, armored vehicles, and tanks. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov noted the offensive may have been "orchestrated," while former UK ambassador to Syria said the US and its allies "didn't lift a finger to try to stop [the Daesh offensive] happening," despite having sophisticated and well-developed surveillance capabilities that likely could have detected the regrouping of ISIL militants and their vehicles en route to Palmyra."

So which terrorists control it now then?
No ones. The people of Aleppo got their city back.

It is one thing to smash a city into smithereens and then call it a victory but quite another to win a war against your own people with the help of the Russians.

Killing anyone who has joined with al Nusra is a good thing. AQ are not rebels. They are terrorists.
It takes a special sort of sociopath to consider infants and toddlers to be called terrorists.

Oh bite me. It takes a special sort of stupid to take that kind of leap from what I actually said to the words you put in my mouth.

What happened in Syria is a terrible catastrophe. Someone needs to be held accountable, but sadly no one will.

What Obama and Hillary did in Syria is a crime, nearly as awful as what W did in Iraq. The left ignores what BO and Cankles did in Syria, but condemns W for Iraq. It would be so wonderful if all three were behind bars for their crimes.

I doubt that very much.

Chicago burned down and has been rebuild twice within 50 years. Not all of Syria, not all of Aleppo is destroyed, though. And the destruction is due to terrorists shelling or occupying buildings. What would you do? Please them out?
