About time...

I was watching an interview with Gerald Celente, and he raised a very good point.

He said that during the Great Depression, ALL immigration was halted.

We have 95 million folks not in the labor force? Why are we allowing any immigration at this point?

Stupid ass. You are counting retired people, non-working mothers, all students 16 and over. Why don't you just paint a big red L on your forehead for liar?

You are right, I looked into the stats.

Folks have seen no opportunity, so they go to school, thinking a degree will get them some more opportunity. Of course, they don't realize, that once they get out of school, they will be in the same situation once they get out.

The fact of the matter is, there just aren't enough jobs out there.

Even if we look at your side of the equation, the number is STILL 20 million folks looking for jobs.

Let's go to a very liberal source;
Are 90 million Americans not working or not looking for work?
"That means 20 million people are of normal working age, not in college and not working. That’s less than one-quarter the amount repeatedly cited in the blogosphere.

So the 90 million number is exaggerated. Even so, the idea that fewer people are joining the workforce is something that worries economists.

All things being equal, economists like to see more people working because it helps economic growth (though not at the expense of dropping out of school, which can limit future employment opportunities and earnings potential)."

So the argument still stands.

Until we have those twenty million back to work, and until we have more opportunity for high school grads where they don't feel like their only option is to be going into debt to the international banking cartel by taking out student loans and getting useless college degrees that will ultimately never lead to getting a job, maybe it is time to restrict immigration and get them doing the jobs that immigrants are doing.
