Aborting Down Syndrome Babies!

What 'personal decision' is being controlled, exactly? Is the baby agreeing to be killed, according to you?
You need to go buy yourself a dictionary and look up the word baby.

Anyways, since when does a real Down's baby ever make a decision?

You need to go look up the word 'conception' and read it. you're just a spoiled little sociopath. I wasn't referring to Downs babies, but babies in general, gimp. You're just babbling here. You know you have nothing.

Thanks to Screening and Abortion, We Are Heading Toward a 'Down Syndrome-Free World'

On the way to work I heard a story on the radio about Iceland screening fetuses for Down Syndrome. 100% of the babies that test positive are aborted. Iceland is bragging they will be Down Syndrome free in one generation. Most of Europe is falling suit.

Is this a good thing? Pro-lifers are outraged and going to warpath over this.

I am a little torn. On one hand, I would elect for an abort if any of my kids had Down Syndrome. Parents should be aware their future child will be born with a major detect. Conservatives are hypothetical. The burden of a Down syndrome child is enormous - financially and mentally. Yet conservatives say after we force you to go through with the birth you are now on your own. I also do think the world would be a better place without Down Syndrome. So I lean towards testing, detection and abortion.

However, I see a slippery slope. Voluntary abortion could lead to forced abortion if DS fetuses. It might not stop there. What about children with the gay gene. Liberals have told us for a while that gays are born that way it's in their genes. What happens when a genetic test, detects the gay gene? Would liberals be OK with aborting a future fag, simply because he has the gay gene? Point is, consider the slippery slope.

Regardless thereof I remain in support of aborting DS fetuses.

I believe it is the mother final choice and the government should not have any say into it.

the mother made her choice when she agreed to have sex that could result in pregnancy, and so did the male. If they lack self-control they can get tubes tied.

They'll be downs free because they kill all the kids with downs.

Fanfuckingtastic. The Nazis thought that was a sign of progress, too.

And they absolutely 100 percent should not fund it.

And anybody who performs abortion must have admitting privileges in a nearby hospital, and they must be inspected and keep records, and held accountable.

As for paying for it the taxpayer should not pay for it... As for the rest that is not my concern how she abort the baby or who does it.

Not my body and none of my damn business what a parent does with their unwanted unborn child.

"When receiving a test result from the new blood test for Down syndrome that says “positive,” do patients understand there may be a one-in-five chance of a false positive? Or even a one-in-two, depending on the mother’s age? Even genetic counselors admit this is difficult to grasp."

How accurate is the new blood test for Down syndrome?

No, it really isn't, not when they engaged in the exact same thing.

It's called negative eugenics, and it is the reason the Nazis are reviled. It wasn't their nationalism, or their populism, that is the reason they are considered monsters. It was their PROGRESSIVISM, and the way they embraced the "scientific" method of refining the population to remove "defectives".

"But the concept of a white, blond-haired, blue-eyed master Nordic race didn't originate with Hitler. The idea was created in the United States, and cultivated in California, decades before Hitler came to power. California eugenicists played an important, although little known, role in the American eugenics movement's campaign for ethnic cleansing.

Eugenics was the racist pseudoscience determined to wipe away all human beings deemed "unfit," preserving only those who conformed to a Nordic stereotype. Elements of the philosophy were enshrined as national policy by forced sterilization and segregation laws, as well as marriage restrictions, enacted in twenty-seven states. In 1909, California became the third state to adopt such laws. Ultimately, eugenics practitioners coercively sterilized some 60,000 Americans, barred the marriage of thousands, forcibly segregated thousands in "colonies," and persecuted untold numbers in ways we are just learning. Before World War II, nearly half of coercive sterilizations were done in California, and even after the war, the state accounted for a third of all such surgeries.

California was considered an epicenter of the American eugenics movement. During the Twentieth Century's first decades, California's eugenicists included potent but little known race scientists, such as Army venereal disease specialist Dr. Paul Popenoe, citrus magnate and Polytechnic benefactor Paul Gosney, Sacramento banker Charles M. Goethe, as well as members of the California State Board of Charities and Corrections and the University of California Board of Regents.

Eugenics would have been so much bizarre parlor talk had it not been for extensive financing by corporate philanthropies, specifically the Carnegie Institution, the Rockefeller Foundation and the Harriman railroad fortune. They were all in league with some of America's most respected scientists hailing from such prestigious universities as Stamford, Yale, Harvard, and Princeton. These academicians espoused race theory and race science, and then faked and twisted data to serve eugenics' racist aims.

Stanford president David Starr Jordan originated the notion of "race and blood" in his 1902 racial epistle "Blood of a Nation," in which the university scholar declared that human qualities and conditions such as talent and poverty were passed through the blood."

You need to go buy yourself a dictionary and look up the word baby.

Anyways, since when does a real Down's baby ever make a decision?
So what does the age matter to the humanity?

Is an "elder" less human because he or she is a human?
How about a "teen"?
Does the age specific title "toddler" mean that a 2 year old human has no right to live?

"Baby" is nothing more than an age description of a human. The same as "Child" "Teen" "Elder" "Adult" and "Fetus". All words use to describe the age of the same being...a HUMAN being.
"Baby" refers to a live human. maybe Pic will lend you his dictionary if he can afford one.

Again you had a chance to disagree with me and you didn't. We applaud you.

Again you make a pathetic 'Im Rubber Yur Glue!' post.
It's official, you agree with me.

Yes, I agree you know you're pathetic, and you hate yourself for it.
I don't hate myself at all.
You should.
Just because you hate yourself? Um... no.

Ok, there you mentioned the word. But you were confusing the word "baby" with "fetus", which aren't the same thing.
