It was pretty much of a gentleman's bloodbath last night on ABC.

Bush took Trump behind the woodshed on his attempt to (ab)use eminent domain when Trump tried to oust an old widow from her home to create casino parking for Trump's PRIVATE enterprises. Trump assured America in his reply that all states "in the way of" the Keystone Pipeline proposal should get ready if he's in Office: eminent domain (sorry Native American lands, you'll have to bite it like the widow almost did)

Christie mopped the floor with Rubio's robotic blunders and "Boywonderism"....it was...just...God...sad...Rubio knew it was coming and acted like he played hooky at school and didn't study for the big test; even with the questions provided to him beforehand. I was just stunned and puzzled at the Boy-blunder.

The true leaders stood out. Kasich, Christie & the unelectable name "Bush" were cool as cucumbers in the face of adversity while the amateur league were left stammering, flustered and chanting "tough guy" or "Obama is a failure" as a cover to the easy blows the Big Boys landed on them. The chasm between experienced already-trained leadership of the People vs self-interested hopefuls of the junior-league was gaping and wide last night. We don't need self-interested or immature leadership..(or too mature, sorry dems!) this time around the block.

Discuss.

If repubs are so against eminent domain why are they for xl pipeline, which needs ED to be built .

All the polls are saying Trump and Cruz won it.

You have failed
Are they really? The govs did VERY well last night. Trump and Cruz always have an answer ready, in every debate, but as for substance, I'm not so sure they won. Guess it depends on what you're looking for.

The caucus in New Hampshire hasn't happened yet. Polls can be purposefully misleading. I suppose next you'll tell us that Rubio shined last night? *wait for it!...* :lmao:

I have never heard any substance out of Trump. Only statements that are subject to change weekly.

But he says it with as few words as possible and at a 3rd grade level.

I already posted Rubio shit himself and they have polls for who people think won the debate.

Now sit your stupid ass down before I hand it to you on yet another platter

Agreed but he's certainly entertaining and it beats watching the two old crones try to outdo each other in giving away free shit

eminent domain

The abusers of eminent domain are the FED govt. they own what 60-70% of all USA land? why is that?
They constantly take homes/land for "the good of society". Trump buys a home near a casino and you want me to get upset about it? Interstate Highways thru suburbs even in the 60s' took many homes without discussion.

Nah Trump won the exchange between him and Jeb on eminent domain. Trump did a great job explaining how keystone pipeline won't work without it. Jeb made good complaints against it but offered no alternative.

Well that depends on whether or not you want the Keystone oil spills going into your public drinking water in your town, how you receive who "won" or "lost" that point.

Some people are alarmed that if eminent domain can be used there, why not also for fracking? After all, Trump's reasoning was that if a private enterprise promises jobs, the POTUS can swipe his pen and eradicate private homes (and it follows, their drinking water sources). What else will he declare is in the interest of private industry with a quasi-public application? My home? Yours?

Some folks find that a little scary. That's BigGovernment if I've ever seen it.. There's a big war brewing in the West about exactly the question of government interests overstepping onto private claims or holdings, easements; or hadn't you heard?

You didn't watch the debate, did you?

No. Didn't even know it was on.
The candidates agreed that eminent domain is essential for building the country's infrastructure, and SOME felt the pipeline falls into that category. Someone disagreed; I can't remember who. ED being used as an argument to take land for private businesses was the point. Trump said people get amply reimbursed if their property is taken, more than amply if they are smart. He had no problem with it.

Hillary will soon be trying to convince us she is black, too.

Trump also pointed out how generously people are paid to leave their home. I know of a few people that happened to and they couldn't have been happier with the money they got. Hell.....I wish that would happen to me right now.

Keystone is dead .. Trump bringing it up was a pointless example.

Him using ED to grab an old ladys house for a parking lot for limo's next to his casino ... priceless.

Well it sort of sums up his approach towards anything...like a human steamroller. "His way or the highway". And that's great as long as he is currently pitching for what it is YOU want. But his loyalties are ephemeral. You could be next on his hit list.
