87% want tax increases

So you are suggesting those people meant what by answering that question that way?

The question was not specific. The question is asking if they should be part of the solution but it does not say what the “solution” is, IE: “Do you support a raise in your taxes from what they are now.” Even that is not specific as the first question would be “how much of a raise?” If they said 1% then sure, people might go for it but then again 1% wouldn’t even scratch the spending we do. If they said 5% you would prolly lose over 70% of the support and that still does not pay for anything.

If you want to make your case TM, provide us with these three things.

Who gets taxed
How much taxes are raised for these people by an unavoidable %
How much revenue this will yield over a year
What the revenue is spent on, IE: Deficit reduction, SS, MC, Wars, Welfare, other or New programs.

You lost TM after 'The...'

Oh, is this another thread about Truth Matters spreading lies again???

Illegal aliens are getting refunds back home in Mexico and almost 1/2 of Americans pay no Federal Income tax..........and one has to wonder why there is a short fall of $???

Got some documentation on that?

They could have meant any number of things which is the inherent problem with you trying to interpret what they meant in their head solely with what you want it to mean. Just because you can't think of any other ways, doesnt mean others can't. Ive already provided you with an alternative twice.

Americans making more than 1 million dollars should pay more in taxes to help reduce the national debt...........................................................................................................................

77% said yes

There are those who will always want the other guy to pony up more than he or she.

too bad for you we have a democracy

We really don't... We have a Republic. We all know you don't understand the difference between mob rule "Democracy" and a Republic "Representative Democracy" but we do.

During a period of stagnant growth, inflation, massive deficits, $4+ gas... nearly 90% of Americans want less disposable income?

That's fucking retarded.

That's what you get when the Spirit of the Lord ceases to strive with man. They become unable to understand whats in their best interest. I have no doubt that there are some people who might be like this. I dont think its nearly as widespread as TM would like us to believe.

The democrats have NEVER said they will acdept NO cuts.

The tea party republicans have said they will accept NO tax increases

Democrats repeatedly promise spending cuts if taxes are raised. They just always end up lying about it and spending as before despite taxes going up.

We need taxes and spending to decrease. We need to ease the burden on the people so that they can work less for the government and more for themselves. Cut spending and cut taxes and you will see unprecedented economic growth and a serious solution to our budgetary problems.

Bitch forgets she's lost the argument about our constitutional republic government numerous times

Only if you refuse the very definition of words

Democracy is often confused with the republic form of government. In some definitions of "republic," a republic is a form of democracy. Other definitions make "republic" a separate, unrelated term

Forms

Main articles: Varieties of democracy and List of types of democracy

Democracy has taken a number of forms, both in theory and practice. Some varieties of democracy provide better representation and more freedom for their citizens than others.[50][51] However, if any democracy is not structured so as to prohibit the government from excluding the people from the legislative process, or any branch of government from altering the separation of powers in its own favor, then a branch of the system can accumulate too much power and destroy the democracy.[52][53][54] Representative Democracy, Consensus Democracy, and Deliberative Democracy are all major examples of attempts at a form of government that is both practical and responsive to the needs and desires of citizens.

The following kinds of democracy are not exclusive of one another: many specify details of aspects that are independent of one another and can co-exist in a single system.

I owe a bunch of money, how many of you here on the board want to chip in and help me pay it down while I continue to shop for shoes and stockings?

Anyone?

For those of you in Rio Linda this is an analogy.

76% of the middle class was willing to have their taxes raised

While it could mean they want their taxes raised, I don't think it necessarily means that. The poll worded that questions as

•76% of middle class voters believe that the middle class should contribute to the solution.

Contributing to the solution can be raising taxes or cutting benefits.

This is why your party is dying

While I 100% agree that the Republican party is in fact dying it's important to note that so is the Democratic party. They are both Progressive and worldwide Progressivism is being rejected as the idea of spending more than you have and running massive deficits is now bankrupting countries that live well beyond their means.
