So Monday Night Football between the two 9-1 teams in the NFL, Chiefs/Rams, was scheduled in Mexico City at Azteca Stadium. That stadium holds 85k fans and when tickets went on sale they sold out in FIFTEEN MINUTES. It was front page news in the sports section of the main paper with Reid & Mahomes as the main focus.
That game has now been moved to LA because of the condition of the Azteca field.
KC channel 9 had a local news reporter on the field down there today and once the locals realized she was filming the condition of the stadium she was escorted out and then subsequently DETAINED and questioned after being followed in her car.
Apparently there was a concert at the stadium a few days ago that destroyed the field. They were resodding the field when the NFL made the announcement.
On a side note I am unsure if the Chiefs can come out victorious after the lackluster showing against the Cardinals. If Mahomes is on his A game I expect one hell of a shootout
