Meanwhile 193 countries in the world (98.9%) do have freedom from their schoolchildren being forced to worship a piece of cloth, so I'm not sure "we" have any place to respond from.

You know, I've seen a lot of people, both out in the real world, as well as on these boards, who think that Christianity should be the only religion allowed in the USA.

Then, there are those who are slightly less radical who would allow other religions but would want to ban anything Islamic.

Ain't it great we live in a free society right now?

But..............if the right wing conservatives get their way, that could become a thing of the past.

The ones living in darkness actually believe-Man gives freedom. They are in error. GOD gave all free will, man only takes ones freedom away( only if one allows it to be so)--Man cannot tell one you cant do this or that--( concerning Gods will)freedom lives within. Each individual makes a choice by usage of that free will. If one lets man take their freedoms, its their own fault.
