You are so brain dead it's amazing. All the people that visit the medical marijuana stores in CA have to go to a doctor for a diagnose also. You think all those people are suffering from illness requiring pot!

The only thing your right about is it's not as easy as JROC makes it appear to be, but there are many PROFESSIONAL fraudsters disguising themselves as lawyers can get anyone on SSDL for a nice fee paid for by the State (lawyers in these cases have their attorney's fees paid for by the state in positive cases). They have whole networks of doctors and other faux professionals to assist them.

My brother-in-law is on SSDL and unlike many of the people who are on it, he truly needs it (he has MS). When he first applied in 2007 he was denied, regardless of the fact he has trouble moving. He applied again in 2010 with the assistance of one of these faux lawyers. The lawyer told him getting SSDL is still a rigous process, but much easier since 2009! The lawyer had him fill out a lot of paperwork, get examined by non-MS doctors and doctors he never saw again. It wasn't too long before he got full benefits.

The process isn't as easy as JROC makes it seem, but the Professional Fraudster can get anyone on SSDL, because they know the system!

Very lucrative business if you know what your doing (State pays for positive victories)! Many of legit attorneys helping people who shouldn't have been denied benefits to get full or partial benefits.

However, like every field in legal relm, there are professional fraudsters. These people have large networks, know the decision makers and know how the work the system. They can get anyone (who are willing to obey and well act) in SSDL! These bad apples are ruining the bunch!

See my previous post, I recognize professional fraudster can work the system for anyone. Not only is it lucrative, but these fraudsters are finding and army of desperate young lawyers to do the dirty work. I know a few friends from law school that went this route. Interviews were few and far between and offers even less. A fraudster can amazingly, get a top 25%er on $40K a year with no benefit and work him/her 80 hours a week. I know some desperate young lawyers that have taken in the $30s just to land their first job!

Another reason this is such a lucrative business is because getting clients to pay nowadays is not easy. Not with this area. The courts "recognize" most people seeking SSDL are in dire strains and can't afford a lawyer, therefore, when a case is won the State pays the attorney's fees!

Actually, now that you mention it.

Of those people. (not just the five we lost, including the manager, but two that replaced people who left earlier)

One was fired because she was incompetant.

One was downsized because he was old, and they needed to reduce headcount. He found a job a few weeks later after I wrote an awesome resume for him.

One gal went on Maternity leave and never came back.

Four others simply got better paying jobs.

Now, to be fair, there were a lot of inefficiencies that we cleaned up. Other things were because of internal re-organizations moved work to Asian plants.

But I think you miss my point. If you are going to have the divide between "those living off the government" and "those just happy to have jobs", you are going to get European Socialism before you can sing a verse of "the International". Because, eventually, people are just going to figure out there's nothing in this deal for them.

This November, I'm going to vote for the Democrat for the first time in my life (and I turn 50 next month). Not because I've suddenly like them, but because I realize that GOP just doesn't have my interests at heart.
