42% of Democrats are in Favor of Socialism

Which means that 58% are not, which is why Bernie Sanders (a dyed in the wool Socialist) who switched to Democrat to run for President, will never be the nominee of the Democrat party.

Someday [maybe]. you too will learn what "democratic socialism" means.

"Democratic socialism" means "democratic" "socialism"

Meaning; it is still socialism, it has all the properties of socialism. So, it is socialism...

Tho, I don't think Sanders is a socialist in any sense...

I actually agree........and one should be reminded that "socialism" is at the root of our democracy.......just remember what "united states" means and why we fought a bloody civil war to maintain that [social] unity.

Because they are naïve and lazy
All economic/political/property theories have good aspects to them. It is the end game and how they go about it that you have to recognize.
From your link(then click on yougov link), it seems to be mostly "young adults" 18-29. Which, stands by my first point lol.
These people come up thinking everyone/thing, even the Earth, owes you something. Its bullshit.

Or maybe these young people look at getting out of college with enough debt to buy a house and a piece of paper that doesn't open all the doors they thought they would, and they realize for the 60% of us who control less than 5% of the wealth in this country, Capitalism is a big shit sandwich.

Capitalism is GREAT. Corporate capitalism pushed by the left and right is a shit sandwich. Get your shit right :)

Capitalism is a shit sandwich with or without the adjective.

Fact is, 50% of small businesses fail. But they give people the illusion they are masters of their fates, for a little while.

I don't think Bernie will be the nominee, but it would be very telling if he did win that the whole 'you can get rich if you work hard" myth is finally debunked.

We were warned:
"Everyone wants to live at the expense of the state. They forget that the state
lives at the expense of everyone." Frederic Bastiat

"The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public's money”. Alexis de Tocqueville

"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until a majority of voters discover that they can vote themselves
largess out of the public treasury." Alexander Tytler

Did 50% of businesses use to fail? Lets compare the first 220 years, to the last 30. Shall we?
Also, Bernies version is taking from successful people/businesses and giving to the unsuccessful people/business. That doesn't even make sense. Even MAarx knew socialism was a failure.

the big lie from the Socialist/communist party calling themselves the Democrat party

Bill Whittle - Let's Just Eat the Rich!

1% of the population controls 43% of the wealth.

The top 20% of the population controls 87% of the wealth.

the next 20% controls 7% of the wealth.

The middle 20% controls 4% of the wealth.

The bottom 40% controls less than 1% of the wealth.

The only thing that keeps socialism from being a lot more popular than it is that most Americans don't realize how bad these numbers are.

Some are the bottom 40% who cling to their guns and their bibles and vote republican because they are right with Jesus and hate the gays and the darkies.

Some of the middle 40% live in fear that any redistribution might leave them with less.

The system can't go on as it has, this is the problem. something is going to have to give, soon. Obama should have been a wakeup call for the 1%, but now you have Bernie, who is an even louder wakeup call.

How could Marx know that when it hadn't been tried yet?

Oh, never mind.

Hey, frankly, I'm not in favor of socialism. I even agree, there is a need for concentrations of wealth. There's a need for corporations.

When it all falls apart is the way it always falls apart. The French and Russian revolutions weren't about lofty ideals, they were about food. When people are hungry and fearful, they get angry.

Trump and Sanders are tapping into that anger, and we should ALL be very worried.

Small businesses fail because they are mismanaged. Dumbass
Bernie is a delusional nut sack, small businesses can not exist without a capitalist goal...

You're "right"....Small businesses' main problem is that they don't have enough capitalistic goals?

You're dumber than usual......have another drink.

LOL
Yea, Marx knew NOTHING of socialism. His partner, Friedrich Engels, wasn't a socialist either..
The concept of socialism has been written about/practiced for centuries. Its even in the bible.
Acts 4, verses 34 and 35:
"There were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned lands or houses sold them, brought the money from their sales and put it at the apostles' feet, and it was distributed to anyone as he had need."
He even wrote a document "Critique of the Gotha Programme" which critiqued the current german socialist party in the 1870s. Then even went more radical after the fact, around 1890 or so. It was considered the best summary of Marxism in Europe. Even then, it wasn't communism. Too bad Marx had already died, or he would have called them idiots again..
Your versions of history always run short, man.

No one starts a business just to hire people or for charity, it about profits.
Hiring more people is part of making more profits not the other way around...

A word from your GOP........

Republicans don't know what socialism is. The use it as a buzz word to get their base riled up because it sounds scary to them. Nevermind that teabaggers have been busy defending various socialistic programs as their god given right.

Hillary doesn't know what it is either
