42% of Democrats are in Favor of Socialism

This is what happens when some folks argue that almost every useful function of government is "socialism"

Capitalism has fed you your entire life. It has been what has made this the greatest country in the history of the world.

How long did the Greek and Roman empires last???
We're what, less than 300 years old and your jingoism is the result of a very poor educational background.
This July 4th, put TWO flags out....just to show your neighbors that you are DOUBLY more patriotic than them.

I didn't live under either the Greek or Roman rule. I am an American. Capitalism has served this country since it's inception very well indeed.
How many foreclosures due to GWs Derivatives disaster?

Who had the Senate oversight of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac? Who had the Senate oversight for the banking industry? Barney Franks and Chris Dodd.
GW and Conservative Talk Radio were having an orgasm over the bubble.

The problem is that there is little you can actually do about it. If you tax the rich, they will sit on their money and live off the interest. If you tax the corporations, they will move out of the country, stop creating jobs, lower the dividends they are paying to the elderly retirees that are living off their stock investments. They have you by the balls.
We tariff them into oblivion and let new blood fill the void.

Despite all the nuttiness in the GOP, this is a big reason why I'm a Republican.

Many Democrats are feeling the love for socialism.

More than four in 10 Democrats say they have a favorable opinion of socialism, according to a survey of 1,000 U.S. adults released in January by data and research firm YouGov; this percentage is nearly identical to what the researchers found in May of last year. Meanwhile, only about one in three say they have an unfavorable opinion of the ideology. ...

On the whole, nearly half of all Americans say they have an unfavorable opinion of socialism, the YouGov survey revealed.

BOTH parties have enacted the heavy graduated "income" tax, the federal reserve board and the massive regulatory apparatus.

The so-called Supreme Court recently approved fascistic-socialistic legislation so long as Congress calls it a tax.

Since the Supreme Court 'justices" have never read nor are they familiar with the US constitution , they claim that congress can tax for anything their heart desire. So in essence we have no judicial review and are headed for misery and despair.

.
Some justices have read it, they tend to vote along ideological lines. A 5/4 decision is all it takes.

There won't be any new blood. See Venezuela for how it works, or Cuba.

Conservatives can't get enough of the Bernie Madoffs of the world. If it were up to them this guy would would have his own statue on the Alabama state capital grounds.
LOL, big time FAIL. Bernie is a big time Democrat supporter. Libs are good liars.
Bernie's support are the same young pot heads that screamed for Ron Paul. Young liberals have a need for a grandfather figure. Some ancient ObiWan that will give them sage advice and tootsie rolls.

True, but I was talking about Bernie Madoff. Dipstick up there thinks he's a greedy Republican.

Here's another from that "communist" sympathizer....

“The power of all corporations ought to be limited, […] the growing wealth acquired by them never fails to be a source of abuses.”
— James Madison
...and the biggest culprit of all is the federal government

Madoff also hedged his bets and kicked in a few bucks to select Republicans, such as:

-- Former Texas Rep. Jack Fields
-- Arizona Sen. John McCain
-- Former N.Y. Rep. Vito Fossella
-- Former Louisiana Rep. "Billy" Tauzin
-- Former N.Y. Rep. Daniel Frisa
-- Former N.Y. Sen. Alfonse D'Amato

So when did the USA ever have pure capitalism? In fact, without government could a nation have pure capitalism?

Which means that 58% are not, which is why Bernie Sanders (a dyed in the wool Socialist) who switched to Democrat to run for President, will never be the nominee of the Democrat party.
