2024 GOP Election

Haley and Pence are DOA...Why are they even bothering?

The party has gone populist and those two neocon derelicts are the oldest of old news.

So, whose your "man" ?
Rand Paul, on the margin.....Though he's not his old man, he's as close as we're going to get to an actual smaller gubmint man on the inside.

My recognition that populism is ascendant isn't any kind of blanket approval.

2024? Only one choice.

I can't see any of those 3, Cotton, Pence of Haley primarying President Trump.

I think that someone on the Left Wing of the GOP- Kasich or Romney or Powell- having the guts to stand for office and challenge Donald J Trump in the primaries.

Any mainstream Republican must recognize that their Grand Old Party has been infested by the rabid RINOs of Trumpery since 2016 and that, for those who mindlessly venerate the lying whiner, politics has become the weird worship of one dude.

If the failed casino operator and faded reality-tv performer is a recidivist, Americans will be continually reminded of the enthusiasm he engendered among his faithful (whose prosecutions continue):

It really doesn't matter who the GOP nominates, from the viewpoint of the Far Left.

If the party nominates an extreme liberal like Romney or Cassady or Toomey or Powell, the Left will still run against Trump and declare the GOP candidate as Literally Hitler, reminding the voters of their lies.

No need to obsess over some "Far Left." It matters to Americans.

Your fringe perspective is not shared by mainstream Americans.

No rational criteria cast your traditional Republican politicians as if they were ultra-leftists, "extreme liberals". Such hyperbolic demonization is indicative of the weird worship of one dude.

I'd advise abandoning the hysterical cultist ravings that all Republicans 1854-2016 were Ernesto "Che" Guevara's disciples.

How else would classify a Republican who hates the 74 million little Trumpsters as much as Sleepy Joe or Obama?

"Extreme liberal" seems to be accurate for those demonize that percentage of the American public as Deplorable.

Your paranoia lacks credibility. Please document your addled notion with a credible source.

Anyone who fantasizes that, e.g., Mitt Romney regards all the Loser's followers as "deplorable" is a bona fide Trump butt barnacle.

Please don't cling to the propagandistic memes you have been issued to parrot:

"Deplorables" attack the American democratic process in their contempt for the will of the People::

Many Democrats seem hellbent upon keeping the Loser center-stage and in the spotlight. Republicans who have not surrendered to the cult don't know what to do about it

For the first time in more than four years, Trump has receded into the background. He no longer grabs the headlines and wall-to-wall cable TV coverage that he craves. Banned from social media, his opinions on everything from the women's national soccer team to the troop withdrawal in Afghanistan, musings that at one time could shift a news cycle, are now released in memo form to minimal attention. Congress has also moved on. Kind of... the Senate passed a bipartisan infrastructure bill; legislation that Trump himself never had the patience or commitment to make happen in his administration.
And yet, his shadow continues to linger over all things 2021 and 2022. He remains the biggest fundraising force on the GOP side, hoarding more than $100M in his campaign bank account...
However, many Republicans worry that his continued attacks on voting integrity could depress base turnout next fall. Meanwhile, Democrats are eager to keep him — and his divisive personality — on display...
In coming elections, every Democrat will be running against Trumpery's Grande Finale:

If Pence is nominated for president, the republicans will lose. He's got two things going against him:
1. He's an old white guy.
2. He's as interesting as grass growing. A milquetoast personality. Bland.
My choices would be:
Donald J. Trump (if his brain and physicality are both in good order). Just to piss off the left.
Nikki Haley.
Marc Robinson, Lt. Governor of North Carolina. The man is a powerhouse speaker and very pro-2nd Amendment. He's the religious type, but even though I'm an Atheist, I don't care in his case.
Ron DeSantis, Governor of Florida.
Greg Abbott, Governor of Texas.
Dan Crenshaw, Texas Congressman.
Jim Jordan, Ohio Congressman.
Kristi Noem, Governor of South Dakota.
As for some non-politicians that I would back:
Colion Noir.
Candace Owens.

Mike Pence has a chance his approval among republicans is at 69 percent favorable to 23 percent unfavorable!

Poll: Trump leads 2024 GOP primary trailed by Pence, DeSantis

Will Pence primary Trump — and win?

1,225 Days until the next Presidential Election and some GOP contenders are already jockeying for position. The piece above cites 3 possible candidates (Not counting Trump). Cotton, Haley and Pence.

Pence made a swing through California the other day gauging interest and giving speeches. Haley was in Iowa this past week.

"It’s been a similar tightrope act for Haley, Trump’s former ambassador to the United Nations and a former governor of South Carolina, who sharply criticized Trump after the Jan. 6 Capitol riot but has since largely avoided the subject."

My guess is Pence and Haley aren't going to be able to walk back their criticism of Trump. But if their names are on the ballot in the General Election, anyone who voted for Trump and votes in 2024 will vote for them.

Pence is boring, he'll struggle to get Trump supporters, plus he's religious and has his views, Trump was willing to give them what they wanted.

Pence will never win.

Trump is the leading candidate but if he doesn't run it will be DeSantis with Trump's help....a Trump DeSantis rally tour.....
Don't bother changing the drapes Dr Jill....
Are you still riding this ticket?

Tom Cotton is a Southern Redneck, and he has not made many waves.........YET.

If someone wants to Primary trump, Cotton could be the one.
But, Cotton would have to turn on trump, will he do that?
Will ANY (R) turn on trump?
