I'm not going to go back and dig up the Russian losses from 2 years ago. I posted a great deal of that back in 2022. The 4GTD was decimated, most of the 35th MRB, 60% of the 1GTA's armor was lost in that first 6 weeks in the attempt to take Kiev. That was documented with geolocated pictures and videos, and confirmed by captured Russian command reports. What losses around Kiev? They were never closer than seven miles out. Kiev of undefended. Who destroyed those suburbs? Ukraine did, as the Russians withdrew in a mostly orderly fashion. True, some units were caught flat-footed, most were not. Those northern troops returned to Belarus and moved to Donbas. The Ukrainians on the otherhand were forced to stay in the north. The result was Russia adding four oblasts to their territory. After the referendums the Russians loudly and clearly announced they would fortify those new additions. Which led to the failed Ukrainian counter-offensive. Adding billions of dollars of the best Western equipment to the scrap heap is exactly how you beat the West. Once the counter-offensive failed the Russians resumed their own offensive and have been taking new ground since. You got conned by Ukrainian propaganda.
You've bought into the Scott Ritter nonsense. I'm not going to try to change your mind. The facts are the facts. The conflict has been frozen since November 2022, and nothing you can say will change that simple and obvious truth.
It's unfortunate that so much of the MAGA movement has taken Russia's side in the war, and spend so much energy parroting Russian propaganda. It used to be that International Law and Order was an important part of the conservative mindset- I don't see much of that these days.
