What you don't do as a guest in the White House is try to dress down the president in which
you're depending on giving you some funds and a way out of the quagmire in which you find yourself.
Especially on the world stage for all to see. 9 times out of 10 it will not go as you had planned.

Trump and Vance were right. Zelensky came in their knowing full well what all the terms were and exactly what Trump said he would and would not do. But, Z came anyway and tried to use the media event as a way to strong arm Trump into making more concessions than what had been agreed to. That was disrespectful in trying to go over Trump's head through the media event. Did it work? It backfired for Z spectacularly. No matter how much the left want to spin it against Trump, the bottom line is still Ukraine lost.

True, but, it just isn't logical. Why would you make a deal and then purposely torpedo your very own deal and then be left out in the cold after doing it? The only logical explanation is that, even though he knew ahead of time what Trump would and would not do, Zelensky mistakenly thought he could use the live media coverage as leverage against Trump, trying to get his demands met.
