You are all sheltered children who don’t have a clue how the real world works. Biden and his administration were push-overs. Many European leaders are exactly the same. At some point they have to grow up or they will be taken advantage of by those not so spoiled and sheltered, which is exactly what happened during the last administration. Biden’s solution to the Ukrainian conflict was to pay(pocketing some along the way) billions, lose lives, cede ground and then ultimately for Ukraine to lose all their land to Russia. That is quite a brilliant strategy I tell ya.

I'm always amused when someone who believes in Magic Sky Fairies tells me about the "real world".

Biden did exactly the right thing. He sent aid to Ukraine, and the Russians were beaten back. Russia is not winning this war. That's why they've had to ship in Nork Mercenaries to do the fighting for them, because their own people are tired of it. But leave it to Trump to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory and then expect to get some kind of reward for it.

Trump merely ask for re-payment of money we have spent/borrowed protecting them. That is hardly the action of a mob boss, but rather, the way it works in the real, adult world. By the way, there are rumors that Ukraine wants to revisit that deal, likely to suggest something along the lines of either what percentage they will give us or for how long(until they have paid us back).

Again, I'm sure the mob boss thinks the same way when he shakes down the small business owner for "protection".

He could have done this a year ago but instead he listened to Boris Johnson. By now Ukraine could have been well into reconstruction, well into economic recovery and well into taking care of its people once again. If an election was held today he would be resoundingly voted out and he knows it. Ending the war also means ending his dictatorial control over the country. The Lost territory is not coming back... At least not anytime soon.

It's time to stop perpetuating the myth that the United States is the global policeman. The rise of China on the horizon is the new reality. The next step in international relations will be determining what our place will be in the new arrangement. A country with less than 5% of the world's population can no longer control the entire world... It is simply an unreasonable and unsustainable position.

But for the simple agreement not to join NATO not a single Russian tank would ever have breached the Ukrainian border, Ukraine would still have all of its territory and it wouldn't be lying and ruins from border to border the way it is today.

Too bad Zalensky couldn't see the ill intent of NATO's greed and complete disregard for the lives of Ukrainian citizens.

I would expect that he will move out of country and live comfortably on the enormous fortune he has amassed as a result of this war. Perhaps he can find another sugar daddy in the EU. Russia has mentioned that they have absolutely no problem at all should he decide to join the EU.

It certainly looks at this point as though all of the objections to peace are coming from the Ukraine and not from Russia.

Russia and China are two nodes in the geopolitical orbit.

The Western Alliance (aka the “free world”), as represented by NATO, the EU, the UN and a host of other organizations that exist within the umbrella of American world leadership.

This is the other node.

While you may claim that this is not the Iron Curtain , that is precisely Putin’s goal. he has said so in public. Russian media constantly promotes the idea.

NATO is powerful. Trump has been attacking it since 2016, and he is openly sidelining it as he plays Neville Chamberlain, prostrate before Putin.

Trump is openly calling for withdrawal American forces from Europe, and isolationists in the GOP are calling for quitting the UN.

He is snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Had the us strongly backed NATO and Ukraine, Russia would lose, and exit the stage as a major global power. zTrump is trying to hand Moscow a victory.

Every single one of these things directly serve Russian long term foreign policy objectives.
Trump is asking for NOTHING in return.

Trump is betraying the legacy of the men who fought WWII, and repudiating the legacy of Roosevelt and Churchill.

Retreating into one’s narrow sphere of influence is the politics of the 1930’s.

Although an American Secretary of Defense, an American Vice President and Musk openly supporting facists in Germany is something new and shameful.

Right fascists…. You know the ones that the Russians, Americans, British and Chinese all fought together during World War II. And the most important war in all human history. Nobody will ever forget it. You’re on the wrong side of history.

Franklin Roosevelt and his vp Henry Wallace envisioned a world where the Americans and Russians would work together. Diplomacy works.. Russia is not the only country whoever invade another country. This is the major logical error with your side. It’s like you totally forget that the British empire, the French, the Americans, the Chinese, the Japanese, the Mongolians etc etc all engaged in warfare. Part of human nature need to figure out diplomacy.

Stop acting like the only authoritarian country in the world is Russia. Stop acting like Ukraine is a democracy. They don’t have elections. They are authoritarian again doesn’t mean that they’re evil.

Russia has been driven back, they have lost so many tanks they are pulling old ones out of war museums, and they are relying on North Koreans to do their fighting for them.

They are not winning.
