I don't know if it's only on my end, but...

I have been using the full url with the url link button.

posting a youtube video with only the ID makes for broken links on all ends.

did the software upgrade change what people were used to?

I have always used the link, minus the "www" part.

But you can actually also use the bb code, [youtube] then the link, then close /youtube.

Either way, I've been having zero problems.

It's the BB Code I'm talking about. Does it still work correctly?
Looks like there IS an embed issue. I tried to embed a youtube vid using the bb code below:

[youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YXUGesAw6zw[/youtube]

Then I used only the "v=" part of the link, if you quote my post you'll see what I had to do to get an embed:

[youtube]YXUGesAw6zw[/youtube]

So yes, that's fukt and is not the way it used to work.

I do not understand the problem :eusa_eh:

I copy and past the direct link and it either embeds or you click on the youtube title and it plays

In the past, the system would automatically embed youtube if you merely pasted in the weblink. Now it won't do that, and to get it to embed you have to use the bb code with only the file title of the video you want to embed, not the entire URL.

Or just paste the entire URL directly without using the weblink:

So for this link:

Just paste it like regular text:

[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oHg5SJYRHA0[/ame]

Hmmm!

Now it's working right.

did the software upgrade change what people were used to?

youtube is blocked on a server.

youtube with BB code and youtube posted with full url show up differently

between the browsers used, their settings, etc... I was seeing all sort of issues.

I use differnt computers on diifferent servers and ifferent os

I did have an issue posting a youtube link and that is what was different that caused me to ask the "riginal question(s).

sorry it took so long to reply with this

Read the replies. I think it's fixed.

OK, I just copied the link in the thread. Now, when I click on the > thing in the middle, it says the vid is disabled. BUT................if you click on the bar on the TOP of the video, where it says You Tube, the video will then play. You can do this on a lot of vids posted on here, and they will play for you.
